Royal Nail Spa

Don't go here. Van did my manicure and pedicure. I told Van to cut my toe nails straight across and to not cut them short. Van cut down the sides of both of my big toe nails. I was in pain that same night and ended up having to make an appointment with a podiatrist. I saw the podiatrist a few days later and had to have surgery on both my big toes, removing half the toe nail from each. It has been very painful. I would post a picture but it's disgusting.
When I called the business to complain, they insisted that I should not have gone to a doctor and should have come back to them to look at the nails. I told them I was in pain and needed a doctor, that they were not doctors, and why would I go to them when I was in so much pain from something they caused. They would not listen and said I should have come to them. She also said that Van was trying to "fix" my nails and claimed I asked her to do that, but there was nothing wrong with my nails when I went there and I had someone with me that overheard everything. I was not in any pain prior to this and had never been to a podiatrist before in my life. I told them again that they are not doctors and should not be doing things like this with peoples nails.
When I asked for the last name and license number of Van, the person that worked on my nails, they refused to provide her information. Instead, they said they would refund me for my pedicure, which is not nearly sufficient given the medical bills, bills for medication and bandages, constant pain, and time I've taken off work. I called because I wanted to file a formal complaint about this manicurist and the refused to give me the information to do so. When I said I would come down there to get her license number (which is supposed to be public information and posted in the salon), they threatened to call the police. Instead, I filed a complaint with the CA Licensing Board against the salon since they are threatening me when I try to file one against a manicurist there. Save your time, money, and sanity - go somewhere else!
