Review: We have an air conditioner that is 12 years old. We noticed that although air was blowing, it was no longer cooling the house so we called Royal Aire. The service technician stated that parts had caught fire and melted. He said that the unit was at the end of its lifespan and recommended replacing it. The salesperson called and gave us pricing of between $8500 to $14,000 depending on the unit we wanted to purchase. Although we have had NO problems with heating, he stated that if we went ahead and replaced our Heater as well, they could give us "discount packages" ranging up to $20,000. We got a second opinion with [redacted] and they saw the burned part, replaced it, and charged us $140. Done.I would recommend that you STAY AWAY from Royal Aire. They are running SCAMS and trying to sell things that you absolutely do NOT need.Desired Settlement: I would like the company to refund the service charge, to apologize to us personally, and most importantly, to STOP running scams like this in the future. They are preying on ignorant individuals and trying to convince people that they should spend thousands of dollars on absolutely unnecessary things.
