Awful experienceBEWAREThey will not honor repairs that were agreed on at the time of purchase

This arrogant and unethical enterprise and it's operators are long overdue for an audit, revocation of license and a closing of it's doorsDeplorable record and treatment of customers*** is complicit by it's lack of oversight of fraudulent reviews used as a front to lure unsuspecting clients to this nightmare businessRead all of the OTHER reviews, *** *** ***, both *** sites for *** ***dba Route Auto Sales", and "Rt Auto Sales and Service" and here at Revdex.comThey reveal a consistent pattern of abuse of the system, fraud and utter disregard for business ethicsI thought places like this only existed in the moviesWould never go back or recommend to anyoneAVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE

Revdex.com:
I agree that I did purchase this vehicle on February 28, 2015. Therefore the many snow events that happened in the month of February that the dealership made reference to in this letter could not have impacted me since it was already the last day in February that I began to deal with them. As a business professional myself, I know that being busy is not an excuse to make up a response to get a customer off the phone. I called on various occasions and was told by the owner that the refund would be sent. If you already know who I am and are able to provide an answer without looking into my concern, then you also know that I had called previously regarding the same issue. Since I am making yet another call about that same issue, you would think that he would have taken the time to look into it and then communicate an accurate response. It is a shame that we had to go through this process in order to get this resolved. I hope no one else has to take these extreme measures in order to get resolution with this company
If they indeed sent out the refund simultaneously with their response, as they also stated, then it would have been sent on Friday April 10th. Since we are about miles away from the dealership it should not take long for me to receive it. As of today April 14th I have not yet received the refund. I will allow for one week to receive it since I have already been waiting over a month. If I do not receive the refund within that time I will immediately follow up with this case numberWith that being said
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me
Sincerely,
*** ***

I can not thank Dave and Mike enough for helping me with the purchase of my replacement vehicle weeks ago I totaled my *** and the process dealing with the insurance and how much do I get how much do I not get has been a complete and utter nightmare! Dave made the stress a lot better by showing me cars that were in the range of what I "thought" I was going to be getting Sadly this wasn't the case and when I found out I was a few hundred short, Mike came to the rescue and gave me a great deal so I could get the car I wanted Thanks again guys!

I purchased my vehicle here weeks agoI had a positive shopping experience and then the car started acting strange and had a check engine light They set up an appointment for me to drop the car off and fixed it within daysEverything is fine now; so far they have held up on everything they said they would

These people will take advantage of you any way they can, and when you have a problem, they'll cuss you out! They will make the car appear repaired, and in good running condition- but its all smoke and mirrorsbuyer beware!

Good morning ** *** Let me start by saying that we have gone above and beyond what any dealer normally do for a customerWe ordered parts(cosmetic partsNo safety related items.) for the truck and since you needed the truck on a certain day and the parts had not arrived yet, we agreed to
drive all the way across the state to pick the truck up and repair it, drive if all the way back across the entire stateAny other dealership would mail the parts to you and tell you that you are on your own with everything elseIncluding the light issue which may I add was repaired by our ASE certified Master technician on the day we picked the truck up for repairsSimply because you had signed all of your sale documentation that you purchased the vehicle in "AS-IS" conditionBut we are not like other dealers and we want to make our customers happyWe aren't your typical used car dealer who only cares about taking your moneyWe will and continue to go above and beyond to attempt to satisfy our customers. Your truck passed our safety inspectionIt wouldn't have passed if you did not have brake lightsThere was an issue with lights in the rear of the truck, but your brake lights have always worked and the vehicle has always been safe for the road. As far as the airbag light coming on, it was not on when we were in possession of the truckIf it did come on, it was after we went out of our way to drop the truck off to youAlso lets be honest with each otherYou never said anything to our driver about the airbag lightThe only thing which was mentioned was the fact that one of the cosmetic parts was missingWhich was previously disclosed to you earlier in the dayThese are used carsThere is no way of knowing when something will go wrong with themWe are not fortune tellersWe can not tell the future. If you look at your printed purchase order as well as the original hand written purchase order, you will notice that the total out the door dollar amount is $You left us $cash deposit the first night you were hereWe also agreed to give you $allowance for your trade in vehicleA Jeep Grand CherokeeWhich you claimed was in decent condition with only the steering box that needed repairThat gives you $downWhen you picked the vehicle up, you paid the balance of $the night you picked up the vehicleThese numbers all equal $which was the agreed upon out the door figure. You did not over pay us and we do not owe you any money towards the vehicle. Lastly, we did give you an $allowance for your Jeep without seeing the vehicle because we took your word that it was in decent conditionThe frame on the Jeep is rotten all the way throughIf we knew that the frame was rotten then we wouldn't have even extended you an offer for the vehicle because it is unsafe for the road and now all we can do is bring it to the junk yardThe junk yard is only giving $per carWe also had to pay a tow truck driver $cash to have the vehicle towed hereWhen it arrived we were in shock at the fast that the frame was completely rotted outTherefore we are out $which was the allowance for your trade and the $for the towMinus the $we will recoup at the junkyardwe are in the red $Therefore Its pretty much a wash. We will still honor our promise to you and complete the repairs which were promised, but that is where our kindness ends when we extend our hospitality to people and all they do is badmouth usWhen the last part arrives we will be in touchThank you(Please see attached documents)

I am rejecting this response because:We purchased the car on December 28th and they did not claim to mail the title until January 23rd, giving me very
little time to go to the DMV and complete the necessary paperwork to continue to operate the vehicle past the temporary tagWhen I called them on January 24th, they said it was already in the mail and there was nothing they could to to speed up the processAgain, the GM hung up on me when I showed frustration at the situationAt no time on the phone conversation did they say that they sent the title priority mail and that I needed to be home to receive the titleWhen we continued to inquire about it on Monday, January 29th, they said that the title was returned because no one was home to receive itHad they informed me of that, I would have made sure that I was homeI also never received any notification from the post office that I had mail requiring a signature, which is normally the caseFinally, my husband was fed up with the varying stories of what happened to the title and drove an hour and a half to pick up the titleI want to the DMV to get the tags and registration only for the DMV to tell me that a title is missingI was not able to get the necessary items to drive the carWe called the dealer and they said there was an issue with the address on the title and are trying to track down the titleIn the meantime, we've had the car for nearly eight weeks but have only been able to drive the vehicle for four weeksWe've had to purchase a rental car, which is costing us about $a weekWe've done everything that we're supposed to doWe paid thousands of dollars for a car that we are still unable to drive and this dealer has only lied to us each time we've inquired about the titleThey said it was in the mail, it wasn'tThey said it was sent priority mail and it wasn'tThey said we had everything we needed to drive the car, and we don'tI just want to be able to drive my carI'm not rich and spending $dollars is a big deal for meAgain, I just want to drive my car and still do not have the necessary paperwork to do that.
Sincerely,

Since the owner has never been discourteous nor deceitful toward or with the complainant, the dealership rejects the complainant's premise that he was lied to, in any instance, any item in fact or in writing and/or verbally. Although this vehicle was sold in "AS-IN" condition and all the pertinent obligatory paperwork and financial details were explicitly and meticulously explained, re-explained ad outlined verbally and in writing to and for the complainant; it appears that the complainant does not comprehend the limits of the dealership's obligations in this matter. The complainant has gone to great lengths to libel, slander and defame the owner and the business despite the dealership going above and beyond reason to satisfy the complainant. Again the facts are clear:-The vehicle was safety checked upon delivery and left the dealership fully operational and fully compliant with Connecticut General Statutes for safety.-In regard to the alleged disputed final cost of the vehicle, see the attached document AF-(as well as the $receipt for the vehicle.)-The final cost of the vehicle, as written is $($for trade in, $for vehicle) The issue of the complainants' trade in is clear cutThe trade in did not have a value of $AND, in fact was worth a mere $as the entire undercarriage wasa rotted away from exposure to the elements. From the outset of this dispute, the complainant has brought forth untruthful statements and innuendo, to wit: 1) The vehicle left the dealership unsafe 2)The dealership stated that a state police uncle would assure him not to get a ticket and, "to take the car anyway" 3)the final cost of the vehicle was $8000 4) the dealership was discourteous and dishonest to the complainantthe facts are to the contrary 1)The dealership safety checked the vehicle as per C.G.Sprior to it leaving the premises 2) The dealership acted in good faith to repair the cosmetic item, even going to the complainant's home, a substantial distance from the dealership, in an effort to maintain good faith. 3) The vehicle, sold "AS-IS" was nonetheless repaired by the dealership AFTER the sale in effort to extend good faith and fair practices 4) The travehicle is worth $as junk, leaving a $balance to equal the $sale price of the vehicle 5) The dealership has a 0.8% complaint rate over the last twelve months0.8% with over cars sold last yearThe dealership is forthright in all aspects of this dispute

Did not tell us the truth on what they were going to give us with the cartold us when the car would be ready & it was not three timesLied to our garage on the day that the car would be inspected by them Cost us a month getting things done on the carJust not truthful with us

Complaint: [redacted]
I was told by Mike that he spoke with DMV and that they stated he did not send appropriate documentation, said title. I have been going to DMV. In [redacted]. And they informed me that route 69 has yet to send the proper documentation. Every time I have called to let route 69 know they are rude, I will stand by my complaint,
I am rejecting this response because:

We registered Mrs. [redacted]'s vehicle and mailed the title into the DMV. We do not have Mrs. [redacted]'s title. It was mailed to her by the Connecticut DMV. Not Route 69 Auto Sales. In order for Mrs. [redacted] to acquire a duplicate title she needs to...

visit a DMV branch and complete the necessary forms. Our responsibility to Mrs [redacted] is completed. It was completed the day she picked the vehicle up from us. We have explained this to Mrs. [redacted] multiple times. There is nothing we are able to do for Mrs. [redacted]. If there was then we would have already done it for her.

When the customer purchased the vehicle she did not have Connecticut identification. She had a [redacted] license. Motor Vehicle law states that if the customer has an out of state ID, they are unable to register a vehicle in the state of Connecticut. Therefore We were unable to register the vehicle...

in Connecticut for the customer. All we were able to do for this customer was issue her a 30 day transit plate because of the fact that she had [redacted] ID and [redacted] insurance. Our hands are tied. We are bound by Connecticut state and Motor vehicle law. Once the vehicle is issued a registration, no matter which form it is, we are unable to issue another form of registration to the same customer with the same vehicle on a later date. This was explained to [redacted] not only by Michael, but by our Motor Vehicle clerk as well. It is not that we do not want to help the [redacted]. We are unable to help them due to the circumstances of the purchase. Before Maura Priest purchased the vehicle we explained to her that if she wanted a Connecticut registration that she needed a Connecticut license and she would not be able to register the vehicle in Connecticut later if she was issued a transit plate now. She was adamant about taking and driving the vehicle the same day. This matter is out of our hands.

I bought a [redacted] mason dump from this place. The first time I tried to bring it home at the gas station I pumped 5 gallons of diesel in to the ground. They forgot to tell me they "ORDERED" A new fuel tank and didn't put it in yet. So a week plus later they finally say its fixed along with the laundry list of broken things I told them I need this DOT inspection ready. So I get it a second time and on my way home it just dies!! wont start and I have video of oil pouring out of the back of the motor. and it not starting. The owner insulted me. they all treated me like I was a pest. And its been weeks since they agreed to give me my money back and I still haven't seen a penny and they a reselling the truck. NO SHAME at all and dishonest as the day is long. They tell me every day "The money has been processed. Its over a week since they claimed this and I still dont have it. I went through their reviews. They are very curious read them for yourself. O these guys are great 5 stars my car runs perfect! but I had to have them replace the fuel pump.

I spoke to Mr. [redacted] earlier today. I discussed his options with him. I relayed to him that we could either refund him his $1295 for the warranty or we could offer him a new warranty from our new Warranty company [redacted]. Mr. [redacted] opted to to take the refund of $1295. We are putting the check in the...

mail today and he should receive it in the next few days. Also let it be noted that when we discovered that there was an issue with his warranty and an issue arose with his vehicle, we did the only right thing and repaired his vehicle at no charge to him.  Despite the issue with his warranty, we did all that we could to satisfy Mr [redacted].

The [redacted] did recieve the title to their car and we are incontact with them to rectify any issues they might have.
