service manager [redacted] contacted customer [redacted] and apologized, he asked customer to bring the vehicle in the next day to have the check engine light fixed free of charge.
Came to an agreement with [redacted] and we are refunding him $949.15 for his service bill and we are giving him a 2 year warranty.
Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: The Manager, [redacted] admitted fault by his...
employee for making me pay for a service I did not ask for. The only reason I agreed for the service was because I was told it was going to fix the specific issue I came in for. [redacted] didn't offer any kind of refund or even a courtesy service due to my inconvenience. I explained multiple times why I was dissatisfied with the service I received but he was not concerned. The service that was performed the second visit to fix the original problem was not free of charge because I already paid for a service the first visit that I did not want unless it fixed the issue which it didn't. I am completely disappointed and frustrated with Nissan at this point, [redacted] did nothing to meet customer satisfaction needs.
Regards,
[redacted]
We reissued the customers check , she picked up her check on Monday.
Review: I am active duty military and my current duty station is [redacted]. On August 10, 2013 I purchased a 2013 Nissan Sentra for my spouse. Si**e we reside in the state of ** and my spouse is a legal resident of ** she requested that the vehicle is registered in that state (of which she did a transfer of plate from the vehicle she traded). I made this information clear to the salesman and his manager. They both assured me it was not a problem, also I made it clear to them that in the state of ** we do not pay state taxes on vehicle purchases instead we are charged high way tax. Again I was assured that was not a problem, but I was informed by the salesman, his manager and fina**e manager that in order for them to issue us a temporary license plate to take the vehicle to [redacted]or registration I have to pay the ** state tax and registration fees and I will receive a refund from the DMV in ** for the differe**e after the plate is transferred and registration is completed. I went ahead with the purchase and return to ** with the new vehicle. To confirm what the dealer said about the taxes and fees I contacted DMV in ** only to find out none of the information that was communicated to me was not true. Shortly after the phone call to **DMV I contacted Route 22 Nissan, I spoke to the salesman and I inform him what was communicated to me by the ** DMV. He placed the call on hold and return a few minutes later and told me the refund will be coming from the dealership one week after the registration is complete. I received the registration document and no refund check. I contacted the dealership to follow up on the refund, but instead I am receiving the run around. Owing to this type of behavior I contacted Nissan customer service headquarters and lau**hed a complaint and I was told that the matter is out of the representative control and I was advised to file a complaint with the Revdex.com to try and resolve the issue with the dealership because they don't know the state laws.Desired Settlement: I would like for the company to refund me the differe**e I paid them to register my vehicle in the state of [redacted] Besides I would like for them to stop misleading customers by giving them false information just to gain their business. If I had an idea this purchase would have resulted with this much problem I would have never purchase the vehicle from the dealership in ** I would have made my purchase when I return to [redacted].

Response:
Customer failed to substantiate her claim that she is exempt from paying taxes in [redacted]
Route 22 Nissan has paid a total of $398.00 in taxes and fees to [redacted] DMV and has issued a check (refund) for the differe**e ($407.00). Please see copies of all documents attached.
The delay occurred because customer continuously insisted that she is not responsible for taxes on account of her husband being a member of the armed forces, which does not necessarily support the fact that both parties (husband AND wife) would become automatically exempt.
Thanks,

Review: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: My spouse never said she was exempt from paying sales tax in the state of [redacted] During the negotiation we asked if there was any discount for military personnel. The salesman told us for us to receive a $1000 off the price we were offered if we fina**e with Nissan Motor Accepta**e Corp, but I informed then that we were paying cash. We never told anyone that we do not pay sales taxes, they were the one that mentioned that we have to pay sales tax and my spouse informed them that we pay 3% highway tax, but he initial issue came because the dealership lied about the transfer of plate process. We wanted to register the vehicle in the state of ** and all we wanted was a temporary plate to get us to our destination. I was informed by the dealership that we have to pay the taxes and fees to them (Route 22 Nissan) in order for them to issue us a temporary plate to move the vehicle off the lot. I was hesitant because we were told by the sales person that we can purchase the vehicle from them and register it in our state, then at the last minute the finance manager told us that we have to pay the fees in ** and ** DMV will refund the remaining balance to us after the registration was complete, but that was not true. I spoke to the DMV in [redacted] office and I was informed that they did not received $462.14 highway tax nor $350 for registration and transfer of plate, instead they claimed a Check was received on 8/23/2013 for $238.06 for the title and tags, and $15 for transfer of plates which amount to a total of $253.06.
Finally the matter got worse after we made contact with the dealership and we started to get the ran around. We spoke to the sales person on many occasion and he kept promising to call us back, of which he never did. We initiated the call to his manager [redacted] and he never returned our call until after the complained to the Nissan Customer Department, and he was very arrogant and disrespectful to my spouse. We still did not have the issue resolved because the regional rep told us that they were not knowledgeable of the state laws and they advise us to make a complain to Revdex.com. The call to you (Revdex.com) did not help much because we received a call 9/20/2013 from the dealership and we spoke to a person by the name of [redacted] (I think she mentioned she was the business customer relations manager) (ph. # [redacted]) and she informed my spouse that [redacted] asked her to inform us that my spouse was not eligible for a refund of the overpayment in taxes and fees. At that point is when we asked to speak with the General Manager ([redacted], we were placed on hold and then a person by the name of [redacted] (General Sales Manager) picked up the line. My spouse informed him of the issue, he claimed he had no idea that there was any issue with her purchase, but he promised to look into the issue and call us back. Within a hour he did called back and informed me (not my spouse) that the dealership will mail us two checks for the difference in taxes and fees as soon as it is signed (by whom he did not say). I asked him the value of the two checks and he said, "I don't know how much because I do not have the information at hand.
For the dealership to make a comment like they did was very disrespectful and condescending. They were the ones trying to hold on to our money and they were coming up with all sorts of excuse not to return our money. Besides they still did not refund us the full outstanding balance. If we paid them $462.14 + $350 + 398 = $1,210.14 total in taxes and fees. The total cost paid to ** DMV is $253.06 ($238.06 Title and Tax, and $15 to transfer of my plate). We received one check (not two) from Rte. 22 Nissan for $407.14, and ever since we are trying to speak with someone no one is returning our call. If they are trying to keep the $398 as the dealership fees as [redacted] claimed, they still owe us $151.94. Out of all the money we paid for taxes and fees it only cost $253.06 to register the vehicle completely in the state of **.

Business
Response:
Based on our calculation, we currently do not owe [redacted] any more money. The total amount set up in the deal is $812.14 ($462.14 + $350), [redacted] was refunded $407.14 which leaves $398. There was $7 charge for temps she was given until her plates and registration arrives. The $398 was sent to [redacted] Motor Vehicle department. The breakdown of fees paid to [redacted] Motor Vehicle department will be faxed over. Our dealership documentation fee is $398 which is not refundedable.

I am rejecting this response because: the dealership still owe us $151.94. I spoke several times with the ** DMV and they claimed that Route 22 Nissan never paid them $398. Instead the ** DMV claimed they received $268 total payment to complete the registration of the new vehicle. Please find attached the various document pertaining to the payment Route 22 Nissan made to ** DMV for registration, title, and transfer of plate; a copy of the purchase order or retail buyer's order with a break down of the purchase, and out of pocket payment (payment receipt $7812. 14) from us.

Review: I had bought a used Nissan Altima 2008 in April 2012 at this dealership. The dealer pushed into buying service warranty and GAP protection for the reason of better APR on my auto loan. I did not want the service warranty and GAP protection so I refinanced my Car later through [redacted] and closed my original auto loan at [redacted] (that I got through the dealership). After I refinanced my loan, I cancelled the Service Warranty and Gap protection at the dealership on August 1st, 2013. Till date, I haven't received my refund. There is only one person who works on the refund and she is never available when I call. I've left a voicemail, left a message with the other employees at the dealership but to no avail. There is no response. She doesn't seem to have a supervisor that I can talk to.
Please help me get my refund check for the Service Warranty and Gap Protection.Desired Settlement: I want the dealership to immediately process my refund and mail me the checks for the money that is rightfully mine without any further delay.

[redacted] service warranty refund arrived to our dealership on January 23, 2014 and the check will be available for him to pick up during the week. We have not heard from GAP insurance regarding his refund however, we will contact them on Monday to find out the status of his refund. [redacted] spoke to our Warranty cancellation personnel this week and she informed him his check will be available next week.
Review: On Saturday 11/2/14 I went to the Nissan Dealership in Hillside, N.J for a electrical issue with my car. I sat down with the representative and told him the problem I was having. I specifically told [redacted], the representative ,that my car read " check engine soon" and that was the problem I wanted fixed. [redacted] immediately said a tune up will fix the problem. I asked severally times was he sure and can he at least let get a reading from the machine to be positive. After waiting 5hrs [redacted] tells me the tune up didn't fix the problem, and I explained that's why I wanted to know for sure but he replied saying eirther way my car needed a tune up. My point is I left with the same exact problem I came in with. This could have been completely avoided if he just did exactly would needed to be done which was find out the problem for sure before assuming or guessing what the issue was instead of making me pay for a non-existent problem. I am very disappointed in Nissan and their service.Desired Settlement: The amount paid for the service

Review: Sept 28,2013 went to rt 22nissan to look at some vehicles. After 4 hours of negotiations and written proof of all fees and taxes and final price we agreed on the sale. Monday september 30th we went to put deposit on vehicle around 7 pm. My father explained he was working and bank closed before he could get full payment. [redacted] asked how much he wanted to put as a deposit, my dad gave $1000.00. We were asked to have a seat while he drafted the paperwork. [redacted] review of the document I noticed price was increased by $1000.00. Salesmen explained there was a rebate for $1000.00 so it brought the price back down to what we negotiated. I stated we were never informed of a rebate and shouldn't it be applied to the negotiated price? After a few minutes of debating my father said to let it go, as long as he wouldn't pay a dime over the agreed amount, and [redacted] and [redacted] stated he wouldn't. We were then told to return on Wednesday, October 2 with the check for full and final payment due to [redacted] and [redacted] not working on Tuesday, October 1. When I returned with the check for full and final payment [redacted] stated the price increased by $500.00 dollars because the rebate expired. I stated he never mentioned a rebate until I noticed it on the contract and and questioned it. He was dismissive and refused to honor the contract.Desired Settlement: To honor the price on the contract and provide me with my vehicle which is now a few days over due. As well as take responsibility for their deceitful ways.

Review: I drove my 2007 Nissan Maxima two hours from home to the Newark Airport to take a flight. It had stalled once before, and then skipped/misfired on the drive to Newark. I was afraid to drive it home, so I took it to the closest Nissan dealership for that specific problem of a stall/misfire/skipping. I was told that the timing chain rattled, (which I never heard),and they replaced it. They also said the intake chamber was loaded with carbon and they said they cleaned the throttle body and fuel injection server. That bill came to $1744.09. Driving away after a few minutes, the car skipped and misfired again. I returned it to Nissan Hillside and they told me it needed a new transmission. That was under warranty, but for the cost of the transmission computer and wiring, it came to $862.23. It was returned to me in a filthy condition, and driving back home during my two hour drive, my car continued to skip and misfire. When I got home, it stalled around town locally. I spoke to Nissan Hillside, and they told me to bring it back. I told them I didn't feel comfortable driving it, and told them to tow it at their expense. They said they couldn't do that, but to take it to the closest Nissan dealership and they would reimburse me for the bill. Since it stalled more than once on my way to [redacted] it was towed. The cost for towing, a new massive airflow sensor, and new throttle body came to $938.75 I was told by Nissan Hillside that the general manager approved my getting reimbursed. They then avoided my phone calls, and never sent the money. I would like to be reimbursed for either the money I spent at Nissan Hillside which didn't correct the problem, and came to $2607.32, or the money they said they'd reimubrse me for from my bill from [redacted] of $938.75.Desired Settlement: I would like to be reimbursed for either the money I spent at Nissan Hillside which didn't correct the problem, and came to $2607.32, or the money the GM of Nissan Hillside said they'd reimburse me for - for my bill from [redacted] of $938.75.

I am rejecting this response because: To whom it may concern: I received word from you that Nissan Hillside would be reimbursing me for $938.75, and that the case was closed and that I didn’t have to do anything. I have not received a check from them. What should my next step be? This has gone on for far too long. After getting more work done on my car by [redacted] two months went by and my car continues to stall.Thank you.

Review: I purchased a Nissan Murano from them on January 25, 2012. At the time they had what I considered a “too good to be true” offer that they widely advertised – they promised to give me exactly what I paid for my vehicle, at any time within the next 2 years, towards the purchase of another vehicle from them. They even gave me a pretty certificate promising the same.
I followed all the guidelines laid out on the certificate (vehicle had to be free from accidents, serviced regularly, under the mileage restrictions, etc.).
On January 14, 2014 I went to the dealership to try and get them to honor their agreement. I spoke to a salesman named [redacted]. I quietly listened to his pitch about how this dealership was so much different than all the others (honest, upfront, no gimmicks, etc.).
Without telling him I was a prior customer, I showed him a printout of a 2014 Murano configured exactly the same as my 2012 and told him that was what I wanted. MSRP: $43,220. After he told me that, if it wasn’t in stock, he could get me that configuration, I showed him my certificate stating that I was promised what I paid for my 2012 towards the purchase, which was $42,700.
After he composed himself, he needed to speak to the manager. The manager, [redacted], then entered the picture and proceeded to give me all sorts of reason why they couldn’t honor the agreement:
The offer is no longer being made.
The offer was made by the prior owners.
The offer cannot be “combined with any other offers”, and, since they’ve adopted a new, “no haggle, one price policy”, that is an “offer”, it invalidates my certificate.
I told [redacted] that I wasn’t looking for any other offers, that I would pay MSRP for the 2014 – meaning the net cost to me should be 43,220 – 42,700, or $520 (plus motor vehicle fees).
He refused to honor the agreement.Desired Settlement: I want them to honor their agreement as outlined above.

Review: I received a mailing from Route 22 Nissan offering to buy my car, a 2010 Nissan Murano if I bought a new vehicle. The offer was addressed to me and did not state that I could not participate in this promotion if I had not purchased the vehicle from their dealership if I bought another vehicle. First I was told by [redacted] that they could honor the offer is my car were purchased in 2011 (it was purchased in 2010) then later [redacted] came over and said he would have honored this offer if my car had been purchased at their dealership (it was not.) Since even the fine print in this offer did not exclude me from participating, I feel that they were using this mailing as bait to get me into the showroom. This [redacted] fellow said they could appraise my vehicle and tell me what it was worth. I would have been treated like any other customer who walked into the showroom without this special offer. I have retained the mailing should you wish to see it. I contacted Consumer Relations at Nissan which assured me that someone in charge at the Nissan dealership would call me but no one has.Desired Settlement: That they honor the offer mailed to me at my home by giving me what is promised in their mailing or, failing that, a very substantial part of the purchase price I paid for the 2010 vehicle (at least two-thirds of purchase price.) if I were to purchase a new vehicle at their establishment.

Response:
We were going to honor the ad by giving the customer the price she paid for her vehicle. When the customer was told that she had to pay dealer price for the vehicle, she was not satistified. She then ripped up the guest log sheet and walked out. Customer spoke to the General Manager today and it was further explaining the program to the customer so that she has a full understanding of it.
Review: Upon arriving at the Route 22 Nissan in Hillside, NJ I entered the office and explained to the service technician about my situation with my car which was purchased less than two years ago from the dealership. I stated that the motor on the passenger window had stopped working, the bumper clip had came off (note second incident of case), and also that the adhesive material on the driving panel was coming off (note second incident of case). I explained to them that my time was scarce, and needed a loaner. They stated that they could not provide with a loaner, vehicle however there policy is any car which has to be in service for more than two hours, is be providing client with loaner as they stated. The gentleman who took care of me were [redacted], and [redacted]. They told me there would be a wait for three to four hours just to check the car, and said they could give me a ride home. I accepted the ride, and called to inquire if my car was ready and they specified the car would only be checked tomorrow morning. Now I am stuck without a car, and they told me they could pick me and give me my car back and told me to come in whenever. This after they already have my car for six hours. This is false advertising
Review: On 7/6/15 I purchased a new Nissan Rogue SV from Route 22 Nissan. On 8/11/15 I noticed several small chips and some tiny rust spots, three tiny pitted holes close together, as well as some tiny black pin holes in the paint. On 8/11/15 I emailed the Sales Manager about this but later found out he was on vacation at that time. As time went on I noticed more small chips, tiny rust rust spots and pin holes. I was asked to bring the vehicle to the dealership and I did so on 9/2/15. Service Manager Santo P[redacted] said he can have the vehicle compounded. I told him I do not want the vehicle compound as it is a new vehicle the paint issues should not be occurring. He said Nissan will probably do a DTS which means Nissan will send someone to look at the car - but that never transpired. Santo asked me to go back to the dealership on 9/3/15 so he can take photos. He took 1 photo of one small chip. He then advised me to call Nissan Consumer Affairs which I did. On 9/9/15 Chris B[redacted] called me and said Nissan can compound the spots?? That same day I emailed Janisha at Nissan Consumer Affairs my dissatisfaction and that I don't want a vehicle with a defective paint job. She said Nissan will check the invoicing and she will get back to me to let me know if Nissan will replace the vehicle. On 9/15/15 she called me and said Nissan can compound the spots??? Nissan does not want to take any responsibility for their poor paint job. A new vehicle would not have rust spots, pinholes and chips if the vehicle was painted properly. The underlying paint surface and or 1st coat was not dry and the result is moisture trapped under the paint continues to seep up through the paint and will continue to do so. I now see that more tiny rust spots have appeared which in time will lead to more chipping!!! I want Nissan to replace the vehicle they sold me with a new vehicle THAT IS PAINTED PROPERLY.
Sincerely,
Business
Response:
We spoke to the customer and advised him that the best course of action is to follow Nissan's recommendation to try to fix the paint problems and if that would not resolve the issue then at least he will have tried their suggestion and then they can take another course of action. Customer does not agree and wishes to take this up with Nissan Corporate.
I purchased a new car from this dealer Jan 2016. I traded in my car as a down payment. Nissan agreed to pay off the balance I owed on my trade-in. February 2016 the bank sent a past due notice because payment was never made. I called Nissan 22 and spoke to the guys who sold me the car, [redacted]. After being put on hold for over 10 mins and tranferred back and forth, I was told to call back the next day. Called back the next day ~ same thing: on hold, transferred, only this time I was told the check was sent give it a few days. The bank called again about payment and threatened to report past due payment. I explained that I sold the car, and no longer have possession ~ they didn't care. I ended up paying in order to protect my credit. The I gave it two more weeks, and called again ~ same story: placed on hold, transferred, told payment was sent. This happened over and over. Today is MARCH 3, 2016, and ANOTHER PAYMENT IS DUE SOON!!! This is a nightmare! I am paying for two cars! One I have no possession of! I will be taking this company to court because this is a grave injustice, and a violation of our contract!!!
Review: March 24th 2013 I purchased a vehicle from rt 22 Nissan. It was a 2004 Nissan Maxima for about 10k. I put 5k down in cash and the remaining balance was financed through capital one. I went down to take a look at the car, and the salesman told me the car was certified pre owned and passed a 150 point inspection, and I would have no worries. The car started having mechanicle issues around day 3 of owning it. After a total of 7 days of owning it afte the car died on me with my next avaialbitly I brought the car in the service with the dealership, and I was told the car needed a new timing belt, camshaft sensor, and windshield wiper container. I was told the car should have been sold to me as is almost as if the problem was my fault. I was promised a rental by the used car manager who apologized for the problem, the manger above him denied the rental and tired to sell me another car. I submitted a complaint with Nissan cusomer affairs and After no resolution and no interest in doing business with them I demanded my 5k be returned and the finance deal cancelled. After speaking with the GM my 5k was returned in 10 days and I was told the deal with capital one would be cancelled. In all Owned the car for about 7 days, and car was returned the 1st week of april. I called capital one and told them the car was returned and the deal was cancelled they asked me to call the dealershipa and request they send the payoff and I did so. In may I recieved a bill from Capital one saying my first payment was due june 6th I called Nissan again demanding they resolve the payoff before this negitively affects my credit. After numerous calls from Capital one I escalated my concerns to Nissan Conumser affairs who tried their best to resolve the issue with the dealership and myself. The rep that has been assisting me told me to file a complaint with Revdex.com saying that Nissan dropped the ball with this from day one and now it will affect my creidt.Desired Settlement: Nissan cut the check on may 24th 2 months after the inital purchase. The check was not overnighted and the check did not contain an account numbe to satisfy the payoff. Capital one told me to escalate this to the highest level possible for these poor business practices, my credit will be hurt for someones poor ability to follow up and make sure the loan was cancelled.
Review: I had come to Route 22 Nissan Service department for a scheduled oil change. The representative suggested a service package that would cost over $400 dollars, which I declined since most of the included services were recently performed at this dealership.
I did, however, agree to get an engine coolant flush performed in addition to the oil change, and requested a tire rotation. The representative gave me some document to sign, which he said was for coolant system protection which was "included" in the price of an engine coolant flush.
As I waited, the representative told me that the rear break pads needed to be replaced, to which I had agreed.
I waited for a very long time, and inquired several times about the delay. After waiting for roughly four (4) hours I was told that the work was completed, and was given a bill.
I was stunned by the total: $622.21.
Apparently the representative and / or the mechanic decided, without first discussing this with me, to resurface the rotors. The cost of labor added to my bill was $368.
(Several months ago when I last changed oil in this car, I was shown the rotors and, they were fine. The car was driven no more that 1,500 miles since then)
Secondly, the document I was given to sign earlier was not protection that was "included" in the price of the engine coolant flush, but instead I was charged an additional $36.11.
Additionally, resurfacing of the rotors reduced the rotors' life-span.
I believe I should have been charged no more than $249:
$110 for coolant flush
$80 for rear break pads
$26 oil change
$33 tire rotationDesired Settlement: I would like to be reimbursed $373.21 for service not requested nor desired.
Additionally, I would like reimbursement for shortened lifespan of the rotors.
And finally, I would like an apology from the representative and/or the dealership.

Review: I traded in my 2012 nissan juke on July 19,2014. On monday, I contacted in the gap insurance reimbursement department on the steps for me to obtain my reimbursement. I emailed her my documentation and waited. I was then contacted by another lady named h[redacted] stating that she is the new person handling the reimbursement. Since July I am still waiting for my check. I understand that she is "middle man" however that is ridiculous for someone to wait months for a check . Every time I call she states that my check will be here the following week, the next week comes and still no check. It is the same story every week. Then she states the check is the mail. I still haven't received that so called check. I leave messages with the front desk to speak to her manager ,they states she doesn't have a manager. I also attempt to speak to j[redacted] p[redacted] they always states he is unavailable.Desired Settlement: The outcome I would like is for me to receive my gap insurance check for a car I no longer own.thank you

Review: I took my vehicle to the Nissan dealer for an airbag recall. I went to make an appointment and was advised that they could do the recall at that time. While waiting, a service advisor told me that the oil casket was rusted and that the vehicle needed new belts. I told them that I had not brought any money with me and would come back. They told me that someone would escort me home to get my credit card. I had the repairs performed and drove home. That evening I checked the oil in the car and there wasn't any. I called the dealer and advised them that there was no oil. I was told that oil was put in and that I should recheck same. I rechecked same and had my neighbor also check same. I called back and asked them to come put oil in the car. My son also called and was told that they would not come. He asked for them to send a tow truck. They said they would not send a tow truck and that I should drive the car back. I then called a local shop and got the car towed. There was no oil in the car. I had to pay $212.90 for the tow, for the oil and for them to check to make sure there were no leaks.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive the $212.90 I was forced to pay to resolve the issue that they created.

Review: In July of 2012 Route 22 Nissan located in Hillside NJ had a special promotion. Route 22 Nissan promotion was very beneficial if you bought new Nissan in July of 2012 and trade in your car within two year period you were guaranteed a price protection. In other words if you purchased your Nissan for 25,000.00 and brought it back to the dealership within two years prior to July of 2014, the trade in value of your vehicle should be 25,000.00 and Route 22 Nissan was guaranteeing it. When I came to Route 22 Nissan in January of 2014, I met one of the dealers who actually sold me the car. His name is [redacted]. He remembered me and agreed that there was a promotion and tried his best to help me. [redacted] brought the Sales Manager into discussion. Sales manager did not recognize the offer. He asked me about the proof of the promotion. I told him that when I bought my car dealers, sales manager and finance manager reassured me about the promotion, yet no one even gave any papers stating that. Promotion was the only reason that I bought my Nissan in July of 2012 in Route 22 Nissan. However, the new sales manager did not honor the original promise. I talked to customer relationship manager [redacted] several times. I talked to [redacted] (dealer) talked to General Manager of the dealership his name is [redacted] several times. However, sales manager did not want to honor Nissan’s original offer. Then, I called sales manager again and he told me that since car was not serviced in Nissan and I do not have piece of paper confirming that I am not eligible for the offer they promised. First of all, I live 1.5 hours away from that dealership; therefore, I never serviced my car in there. Secondly, no one even mentioned some sort of piece of paper confirming the offer Route 22 Nissan made. This offer was the only reason I bought my car from Route 22 Nissan. It is ashamed how this dealership promises one thing just to sell the car and then they just do not want to honor their promise.Desired Settlement: Route 22 Nissan should honor its promise.

We apologized for the frustration this situation has created for [redacted] However he does not have the certificate given tocustomers that purchased their vehicle during the time period when the 2 Year Price Protection program was going on. The back of the certificate states the stipulations that go along with the program which includes doing routing services at Route 22 Nissan. A sample of the certificate is attached with this response. The 2 Year Price Protection program was terminated in December 2013 because thecompany went through major changes of how we do business. However we are still honoring the certificate for customers that qualify for the program.

I am rejecting this response because: When I bought my car I was promised 2 year price protection. This was the only reason I bought the car. I left dealership on Friday of July 6th at 11:00pm and Finance Manager [redacted] did not give me any certificates he assured me that all the cars sold at this period do have the 2 price protection plan. When I came back in 2014 one of the dealers who sold me the car his name is [redacted] was still there and he recognized me. He tried to help me; however, the sales manager did not want to honor the original promise. This dealership has a high employee turnover; however, I was lucky enough to meet one of the dealers who was working there back in 2012.This price protection offer/promise was the only reason I bought a car from Nissan. They did not give me any certificates!

Response:
Our refusal to honor the program is not because [redacted] does not have the certificate. He does not qualify for the stipulations that goes along with the program. The stipulations are clearly written behind the certificate that was given to customers that wanted to participate in the program.
