Review: This past March Ross Solar installed solar panels on my roof. As part of the installation they said I needed extra support in the attic. They said they would do it for $430. I agreed to the price without getting the details of the work. I trusted that they were giving me a fair price. When they did the work, I found out it was nailing 6 2x4x8 studs to the attic rafters. The whole job took about 15 minutes. They did not make a special trip to do this work. They were already at my house installing the panels. I thought this was alot of money for such a small job. When I protested, they sent me the following breakdown of the expenses. Hi Tony,Here's a breakdown in costs for us.Price of 1 Board Foot of 2x4x8 (Home Depot)- $3.391 Board foot (2x4x8) = 5.333 $18.07Cost of lumber $108.42 Box of nails $59.001 Fuel cell for nail gun $12.001 Hour of labor $65.00 $244.47When I saw this I was outraged. I usually pay $3 or $4 for a 2x4, not $18. And $56 to nail 6 2x4s. Even at these outrageous prices it didnt add up to $430. They offered a 20% discount, but I still thought their price was too high.I know its a relatively small amount of money, but I feel I was ripped off and I dont think its right.Desired Settlement: I think a fair price for the job would be between $100 and $150. I would like a refund of between $280 and $330.

Mr Addesso's was quoted an estimate and when I originally offered him a 20% discount his response was:

April 14th

"Forget your stinking 20% discount. I'll pay the full price. I'll consider the job complete when I get a copy of the warranties that you are going to file with sun power and the inverter company. When I get those warranties I will pay the bill."

I have a copy of the email he sent me.

I would have been happy to continue the conversation with him and I am offended his filed a complain against us when he stated very clearly that he will pay full price.
