The customer in question received and acknowledged two billing statements sent to her correct address in her complaintThe patient also paid the collection agency directly instead of allowing us to pull back the account within the thirty day periodThe customer stated that our company turned her over to collections after her insurance company remitted paymentHer account got turned to collections by May 31st, Her insurance remitted payment on June 16, and we reported the payment to the agency on June 28th, This means the account resolved in less than days and does not report to a credit bureauThe patient acknowledges her refusal to answer her phone even though we tried to contact her multiple timesIt is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that her Secondary insurance plan remitted payment timely to our office once we billed her for the balance on the billAfter the account went to the collection agency, only then did the patient receive a resolution on her insurance payment from her Secondary insurance carrierIn addition to the above, we offered to refund the patient the amount of $and we also gave her an option to speak to a supervisor but refused to do so when given the opportunityI would have easily addressed the issue on the phone with her at the time given the opportunity
