Hello ***, Thank you for bringing this complaint to our attention. I would like to share a response to this if I may. The rug in question was picked up from Ms*** home and brought to our shop for cleaning. The rug is called a Chinese cloth back, a wool rug with a
backing that is glued on to it. Over a period of time these glues dry out and turn to a fine powdery substance. Upon inspection, we called the customer and told her that there could be a problem in cleaning. She did advise to try and clean the best we could. We did proceed to clean the rug in our rug wash and thoroughly dry after. When we returned the rug to Ms*** she complained of the same powdery substance we warned her about. This is a common problem for this type of rug. I understand her frustration but it is not a mistake in cleaning as she suggests. I have attached an article below about this type of rug. As a solution to her complaint we will waive the invoice for $that we have sent her. I just want her to understand the problems with this type of rug and that is was not a fault of ours due to cleaning. Please let me know if you have any further questions that I can assist with.
