Roof Top Services of Central Florida

I requested an estimate for white aluminum soffit and fascia repair for the rear side of my roofline. Roofing consultant Shane E [redacted] came out on a Friday morning and looked at the repairs needed. He verbally estimated it as 25 feet that needed to be repaired and said that he would have to get with Rooftop Services subcontractor for an estimate of the repair work. Rooftop services web site says that they never use subcontractors. Monday morning Shane emailed me an estimate of $1,250.00 which was over 4 times the amount of the previous 3 estimates I received from other roofing repair contractors. The estimate did not list any details such as linear footage or what materials would be used. I feel that Rooftop services really did not want to do this repair for whatever reason and made up some ridiculous estimate amount that was so high that they knew it was unreasonable and overpriced. If this was the case they should have told me that they did not want to do this repair.
