I called Romano's TV and Appliance to ask about some issues I was having with a LED TV of mine and asked about having a tech come out to take a look. I explained the issues in great depth to '[redacted]' on the phone. He seemed very knowledgeable and told me that the issues I was having were very common and that the service call plus the cost of parts would be much cheaper than purchasing a whole new TV. [redacted] made me feel reassured that the issues would resolved by the tech. I scheduled an appointment for the tech to come out the house and when he arrived he completed his assessment in less than 30 seconds. The tech brought nothing more than his clipboard into my home. No tools, no cables, just his clipboard for me sign the bill for the $70 service call. When I asked him why he didn't bring any tools in with him his reply was, "I've been doing this my whole life and I have other appointments to get to. I can't spend all day taking apart your TV. You should just buy a new one. I can give you 10% off on a TV if you purchase it from Romano's" I couldn't believe it. I felt like Romano's had pulled the old 'bait-and-switch' on me. They made a quick $70 off of me and then lured me into buying a new TV from them with a 10% discount. I'm very disappointed with the level of service I received from Romano's and will not be giving them any more of my business.
