There is something terribly wrong with this customers compliantHe states he bought a car from us on January 27th 2017, but since today is only the 25th, that is not possibleHe further states he has waited for days and no one has contacted him but our records show he purchased a vehicle from
us on Saturday the 21st of JanuaryPreston, his sales rep does not work on Sundays or Mondays, so the only possibility is this customer has waited only one day, yesterday, before filing a complaint with the Revdex.com, and this seems very unreasonable to usIt is difficult to always know what was said when an issue comes down to claims that a staff member has made claims or commitments that contradict what is in writing, and in this case all documents signed by Mr*** and us state this transaction was deeply discounted and purchased as is, without promises of any kind
However, as Mr*** has indicated we are proud of our reputation and always want to try and rectify a complaint so that all concerned are satisfied With this in mind we will agree to fix the problem Mr*** has indicated his truck has on a 50/basisTo restate, the shop at this location will perform the work and Rod's All Star Auto will cover 50% of the parts and the labor, and Mr*** will be expected to cover the remaining 50%.
Again, only business days has passed since Mr*** purchased his vehicle here so the claims in his letter that his concerns have been ignored simply cannot be true

In the very rare occasion a vehicle we sell disapoints our customer we do all we can to reasonably assist and this case is a perfect example of the lengths we will go. Although we have no legal obligation to work on emission related complications that arise after a sale, we were happy to

I am rejecting this response because:Rod’s All Star Auto has now let me know that the 3rd attempt to “make things right and give me a vehicle I would be completely satisfied with” was unsuccessfulThe PCM was not the issue after having been reprogrammed, it is again, an OSensor that they’ve said I now have to replace at a cost of $They have also stated they will no longer be assisting this fix and my $warranty will not cover this expense.

This new turn of events is a great example of the difficulty we have had working with this consumer to find a reasonable and amicable solutions to his concernsHe originally asked us to help him perform an EGR valve (about a $ repair) or, allow him to exchange vehicles for a Nissan we have in stockWe accepted variations of either of those ideas, and now he has taken the vehicle to a pep boys and asked them to give him a bid to what looks like completely rebuilt the carCertainly, this estimate includes replacing many items that are in perfect working orderThis car was $3788, and quite a nice car for the priceMr*** signed many documents indicating he realized and agreed that he was purchasing his vehicle as is with no promised work of any kindHe chose not to purchase a service contract with the vehicleAlthough we would love to accommodate all of our customers request, in this case his request are not anywhere close to something we can consider.Respectfully, Michael * C**General Manager
