because:I was lead to believe that Rocky’s Auto Repair is a legitimate
business. The engine was shipped to the business address for Rocky’s Auto
Repair and the work was performed on the business property. The model that this
business is operating under is a bad practice and not professional.
The fact is that the work was not done correctly nor did the
mechanic fix the original problem or the subsequent problem that he created. I was
forced to take the vehicle to a different mechanic shop at which time the
engine was re-installed to resolve the issues. Rocky’s Auto Repair mechanic shop
cannot be trusted; it is my experience that the mechanics steal your parts and
replace them with less expensive parts. I have documentation and pictures to
prove my statements.
The bottom line is the vehicle was worked on by Rocky’s Auto
Repair mechanic and the work was not completed correctly. I was forced to take
the vehicle to a different mechanic shop to have the same work completed in a
professional manner with “No Leaks”.
The picture attached is a snapshot of me in the shop with my
vehicle when I realize the many issue with the repair shop.
I need to be compensated for money paid to Rocky’s Auto
Repair shop. If this is not resolved in an expeditious manner, I will pursue
legal action to the fullest extent of the law.

Review: In January of 2014, I had my [redacted] pickup truck towed to Rockys Auto Repair. The mechanics name is [redacted]. I entered into a verbal agreement with [redacted], the mechanic, to have my vehicle repaired by replacing the current engine with a reconditioned engine for a cost of $800.00. In addition, I paid $200.00 for additional items (Tune-up items). I provided all necessary and requested materials for the service repair. On the day of service, all supplied materials were in the cab of the vehicle. They included a fuel filter; wires; oil; spark plugs; and an air filter for a cost of $119.93. After the engine work was performed by the Mechanic, I requested a receipt. The mechanic informed me that he would provide me with a receipt later due to his lack of resources at the time. I drove the vehicle for a couple of days. I noticed upon pulling out of my driveway, that I had a fresh oil spot. Later that morning, the oil spot was confirmed by a service mechanic at [redacted] in [redacted] MD. I was at [redacted] for a previously confirmed appointment to get a front-end alignment. Soon thereafter, I contact [redacted] the mechanic at Rocky Auto Repair and was told to bring it into the shop for inspection. Several days passed, when I contacted [redacted]. At which time [redacted] informed me that there was a problem in the rear engine seal and I needed to contact the manufacture. I went to [redacted] and was told by the rep at service that a receipt was needed. I contact [redacted] explained to him that I need a receipt. [redacted] again gave me the run around about not being able to produce a receipt for the service he had performed. In deep frustration, I took the vehicle to a different auto mechanic business, [redacted], located in [redacted], Maryland for a second opinion. I was informed by the mechanic at [redacted], that they had located a leak between the engine and oil pan. A third mechanic [redacted] Auto Center located in [redacted], Maryland completed the work.Desired Settlement: I would like to be compensated for money paid to ROCKY'S AUTO REPAIR SERVICE & SALES, INC and parts that total $1199.93.
