First of all, I have never received a complaint in the mailThe first I have heard of this is when [redacted] called and spoke to [redacted] I certainly would have responded had I received this in the mailAlthough we had a leak early on due to some defective PVC pipe, I am not so sure that we have a leakAll water features use waterEvery one is slightly different from the rest due to many factorsSplash, Evaporation, Wind, Exposure to Sunlight, Heat, etcI have personally been monitoring this feature for the past weeks and we seem to be using about 3" to 4" per dayEach inch of water in this system equates to approximately gallons of waterLet's do some math- On the high side, if we are using gallons per day this would amount to gallons in a monthI don't know what Arvada charges for water per gallons but in Erie we are on a sliding scale, depending on amount usedThis ranges from to per The more you use, the more you payUsing a number in the middle (per gal) The gallons used would amount to about in waterIf we are to assume the doubling of the water bill was caused by the water feature, we must assume that the water feature must have used worth of waterThis amounts to approximately gallons of water, or about gallons of water PER DAYSince most garden hoses put out about gallons per hour of water (the [redacted] have pretty low pressure, so they are undoubtably putting out less) you would need to run the garden hose for almost hours at full blast to use this much waterI know for a fact that their Auto Fill Valve which is attached to the Sprinkler System was set to run for MINUTE per day, so unless someone has been running a hose for hours per day into the waterfall the water feature is not responsible for the doubling of the water billThese numbers also assume that the feature is being run hours per dayAlicia has stated to me that they do not do this but only run it when they are outsideThis fact says that the water feature is using even less water as it is not even turned on much of the timeI still stand by my word that if we have a leak and if I have to tear the whole thing down then that is what we will doBut I still have to be convinced that there is a real problem hereAlthough we have been less than perfect in communication and response, we strive to make all of our customers happy and glad that they did business with Rocky Mountain WaterscapeI hope that someday Eric and Alicia feel that wayI will continue to monitor the water use and look for any signs of leaksBut as of today I am reasonably confident that this water feature is functioning as designedI may be proven wrong, but if that is the case, we will do whatever is necessary to correct the problem with this feature [redacted] Russo Rocky Mountain Waterscape

Rocky Mountain Waterscapes may win a lot of honors for good design but that is where it stops. Once you use them to maintain the ponds they come up short.
Very, very poor customer service. You specify what you want done and they argue with you. I know they are not accredited and probably don't care or read these, but maybe someone will not use them because of this.
Our Ponds do not look good because of poor maintenance.
Weeds growing in the grasses. No apology or response.

First of all, I have never received a complaint in the mail. The first I have heard of this is when [redacted] called and spoke to [redacted]. I certainly would have responded had I received this in the mail. Although we had a leak early on due to some defective PVC pipe, I am not so...

sure that we have a leak. All water features use water. Every one is slightly different from the rest due to many factors. Splash, Evaporation, Wind, Exposure to Sunlight, Heat, etc. I have personally been monitoring this feature for the past 2 weeks and we seem to be using about 3" to 4" per day. Each inch of water in this system equates to approximately 10 gallons of water. Let's do some math- On the high side, if we are using 40 gallons per day this would amount to 1200 gallons in a month. I don't know what Arvada charges for water per 1000 gallons but in Erie we are on a sliding scale, depending on amount used. This ranges from 3.53 to 7.82 per 1000. The more you use, the more you pay. Using a number in the middle (5.00 per 1000 gal) The 1200 gallons used would amount to about 6.00 in water. If we are to assume the doubling of the water bill was caused by the water feature, we must assume that the water feature must have used 215.00 worth of water. This amounts to approximately 43000 gallons of water, or about 1400 gallons of water PER DAY. Since most garden hoses put out about 500 gallons per hour of water (the [redacted] have pretty low pressure, so they are undoubtably putting out less) you would need to run the garden hose for almost 3 hours at full blast to use this much water. I know for a fact that their Auto Fill Valve which is attached to the Sprinkler System was set to run for 1 MINUTE per day, so unless someone has been running a hose for 3 hours per day into the waterfall the water feature is not responsible for the doubling of the water bill. These numbers also assume that the feature is being run 24 hours per day. Alicia has stated to me that they do not do this but only run it when they are outside. This fact says that the water feature is using even less water as it is not even turned on much of the time. I still stand by my word that if we have a leak and if I have to tear the whole thing down then that is what we will do. But I still have to be convinced that there is a real problem here. Although we have been less than perfect in communication and response, we strive to make all of our customers happy and glad that they did business with Rocky Mountain Waterscape. I hope that someday Eric and Alicia feel that way. I will continue to monitor the water use and look for any signs of leaks. But as of today I am reasonably confident that this water feature is functioning as designed. I may be proven wrong, but if that is the case, we will do whatever is necessary to correct the problem with this feature. [redacted] Russo Rocky Mountain Waterscape
