[redacted] HelloWe went to the PO box today after being out of town for the last two weeks to find this letter. It states that your department has contacted us previously about a complaint. I have no such correspondence. Additionally, I have no correspondence from this adopter who wrote the complaint. Sonya G[redacted] a contractor for our rescue has one email and I have attached it below. The customer is complaining about a policy that they signed off on. We do not refund adoption fees. We provide a tax deductible receipt. Further the " training" is signed up and paid to [redacted] not to Rocky Mountain Puppy Rescue. We make it convenient for the adopter to pay at the time of adoption. We purchase the card from [redacted] and then have the adopter pay for it in one transaction. We explained that to the adopter in person when she returned her dog. She could have gone to [redacted] for a refund and or credit but refused. Sonya explained to the adopter in the email that the card is through [redacted] and not Rocky Mountain Puppy Rescue. I have attached it below for your records. As a non profit rescue we rescue and rehome hundreds of animals per year. We take our rescue responsibility seriously. We do not refund adoption fees due the high number of people that think they want an animal only to turn around the next day and realize they require commitment, time, money and work. As a result we make every person aware that we do not refund adoption fees. The complaint you have here doesn't pertain to our policies. If the adopter wanted a refund on her training card, she would have gotten that from the [redacted] in Arvada. She has in her possession a gift card worth 99 dollars cash. If she had given back the gift card she would have a point but we do not have the card and it is in her possession. Again , she was informed but more than likely didn't want to go through the process of going back to the store. The statement of " refunding 99 for training " was not written by myself nor Sonya G[redacted]. We are not the ones that refund, [redacted] refunds for their cards. This was a gift card for training or goods from [redacted] that she purchased.I can best be reached at this email and or via phone at 303 521 3194 during normal business hours.Thank youEmma
