this is not a secure email or secure web portal. I hope that you have sufficient information to close the case. If not, please provide a secure manner in which we can provide additional information. On July 15, 2017, our member referenced in the case came in to [redacted] Credit Union (RVCU) to dispute a debit card transaction. She referenced the transaction in her dispute. It was for $233.00 she stated on the dispute that she had authorized $140.00. On July 31, 2017 RVCU sent a letter to the member stating that she was given provisional credit in the amount of $233.00, which was temporary until her dispute/claim was completed. The letter also explained that if her claim was denied, this provisional credit would be retracted. On August 16, 2017 RVCU received a $93.00 credit from [redacted] and on October 3, 2017, [redacted] notified RVCU that the case had been closed and no further credits would be given. On October 4, 2017 RVCU debited the member’s account for $140.00, which is the difference between the original $233.00 charge and the credit RVCU received from [redacted]. It is also the amount she indicated was originally authorized. A $30.00 NSF courtesy fee refund was posted at that time and mentioned in the letter that we mailed her explaining the why she debited $140.00. Since that time RVCU has posted another $30.00 courtesy fee refund resulting in $60.00 in fees waived. We consider the issue resolved. Sincerely, [redacted] Executive Vice President [redacted] Credit Union [redacted] Loves Park, IL 61111 Ph: [redacted] www.rockvalleycreditunion.org Like Us on Facebook!
