my certificate and half of my tip. I am not happy with that offer. I did call her back relative to this and she did not return my call. I also would like to edit my original complaint to offer more specific information. I tried to edit it on the site but couldn't. Below in quotes is how I would like my complaint to read. I also want to edit my complaint amount. I realized that the total was actually $230 because I included a tip that was not refunded.
"I purchased a gift certificate from Rochelle's Salon and Spa for my girlfriend in the amount of $200.00 for the specific purpose of her getting eyelash extensions. I included a $30 tip with this purchase. She arrived at her 11 amappointment on time. She waited 15 minutes for her appointment before asking the receptionist how long it would be. [redacted], the receptionist looked over at the stylist and then back at her computer and said, "A few minutes." There was no apology for the wait, and not even eye contact from [redacted]. My girlfriend sat back down and noted that the stylist [redacted], was not in any hurry to finish up with the client she was working with. She was chatting about an upcoming trip to Vegas. Eventually she and her client went to the counter and the client paid. [redacted], the stylist then proceeded to start a discussion with her client about eye lash extensions. My girlfriend stood up by the counter to make it known that she was waiting. [redacted], the stylist looked at her and asked, "Are you my eyelash appointment?" My girlfriend said yes, and that is all that was said to her. Finally at 11:21 am my girlfriend left, fed up with the wait and the poor treatment. I made several calls to the salon relative to this in attempts to have my money returned. I was not able to talk to the owner and did not receive a call back from the stylist or the owner. A week later I finally called and relayed that I was coming to get my money back. When I arrived I was told that the owner was not there and there was nothing that could be done with her not there. At one point the receptionist [redacted] called and asked for my address and stated she was mailing a refund check. This was a lie, as she didn't even have the authority to do this. My girlfriend also made calls to the salon and to the owner [redacted] She was told that each stylist is an "owner" and it is up to [redacted] to decide whether to return the money. My girlfriend eventually received a call from the owner, [redacted] who told her they would return half of the money and half of the tip.
The problem with this is that I purchased this specifically for eyelash extensions. It stated right on the certificate that it is for eyelash extensions. My girlfriend should not have to receive services from a stylist or a company that can't be on time for appointments, cant give good customer service, and can't have proper follow up when there is an issue. They refuse to refund the money and kept the tip as well!"
