Review: Rocha's overcharged for parts needed to fix my vehicle.
On December 19, 2013, Rocha's Auto Service overcharged me for parts needed to repair our [redacted], License plate # [redacted]. The four parts involved in the overcharge are:
Fuel Filter (ProSelect) [redacted] retails at NAPA for $38.99. Rocha's charged us $69.82 for the part alone.
Spark Plug - Double Platinum - OE Type [redacted] retails at NAPA for $4.49 each (six would have cost $26.94). They charged us $12.40 each for six plugs totaling $74.40
Valve Cover Gasket Set [redacted] sells at NAPA for $47.49 retail. Rocha charged us $91.00.
Ignition Coil E887 sells at NAPA for $59.49. Rocha charged us $119.93.
The NAPA retail prices were provided to us by NAPA in Redding over the phone, phone number ([redacted]) [redacted].
This was Rocha's Invoice #[redacted] totaling $977.55. I paid with MasterCard.Desired Settlement: We would like the difference between full retail and what we were charged by Rocha's.
Fuel Filter: $30.83
Spark Plugs: $47.46
Valve Cover Gaskets: 43.51
Ignition Coil: $60.44
Total refund: $182.24
I feel this would be fair because Rocha's would have paid less than NAPA retail for these parts. That should be their markup.

Response:
We were up front with Mr. [redacted] from the beginning concerning our pricing. We gave him a free estimate and he approved the work, authorizing us to perform the service at the agreed upon price. He signed the estimate that contained all of our pricing for the job so he was well aware of exactly what we would be charging him.
