I went to [redacted] around may 15 and met with [redacted].they had 2leaks.one in kitchen on lower section of roof and one on top section near exhaust fan.I siliconed cracked shingles over kitchen leak.on top roof home owner had previously poured tar around fan and made a...

mess.he had a tarp behind fan over peak covering a 3 foot section of ridge vent held in place with bricks.I removed tarp and removed approximately 4ft.of hips and sealed off with rubberized roofing. Around may 31 I returned and met with mr.zhou because he said top roof was still leaking. He came up on roof with me and I showed him work I had previously done.I also attempted to seal around fan with silicone but with the tar he had previously poured around it was very difficult. He sent a text message to me soon after saying he wanted his 120.00 back. I explained that there is no guarantee  on repairs (which I had explained to his wife on my first visit) and he had paid  me for my time.I also explained that I thought the pitch of roof was not steep enough  for the way roof was originally done.I have been in the roofing business 43 yrs. and never had any problems.
