Roadside Towing

Review: Well I broke down on the ** turnpike Monday morning at around 530 am. I called roadside assistance and said they found someone to come help. The roadside assistance gut told me it would cost me over $500.00 to tow me to my location. The towing guy said it would be cheaper to just bring me a tire. The assistance guy ask what the tire size was so I gave it to him .I said that's fine whatever it takes to get me going and it would be cheaper. So the assistance guy said it would be like an hour until they got there. So while I was waiting I jacked my truck up and loosened the tire, it was already to change. Finally they showed up. They didn't bring a tire. Towing guy said he never said he was bringing me a tire. So he took off with my tire. bout 2 more hours go by then they show up. They never told me what the price was gonna be or their rate. So he puts the tire on. Ask me how I was going to pay. I told him and he figured out this bill. Not making this up. 1,203.55 dollars to get it fixed. I said I couldn't pay and he told me he was going to impound my truck and that was gonna cost me like $450.00 dollars. So Long story short, I had to pay that. It was $225.00 dollars an hr. What the heck. I'm in the wrong business I guess. So now I'm trying to see what I can do about a refund or whatever because that is outrageousDesired Settlement: I don't mind paying for the tire, and some of the travel time.
