Review: On Saturday, May **, 2014, I hired [redacted] of RJ&J Landscaping to do a "spring" clean-up of my lawn including removing small loose rocks, leveling the lawn with new topsoil, transplanting 4 existing small trees and bushes, adding mulch, cutting dead tree branches, removing dead limbs and an old tree stump, re-seeding the lawn and removing and installing a new PVC pipe drainage system to my gutters.During the PVC pipe install, he shows me a damaged gutter downspout claiming that another contractor must have dented it. On Friday, May **, 2014, I emailed him letting him know that he didn't fully get rid of dead limbs on an Evergreen tree asking him when he would come back to finish the job. I get no response so I email him again on Wednesday, May **. Again, no response so I send another email on Thursday, May [redacted] letting him know that I unless I hear from him asap, that I'll post a negative review on HomeAdvisor.com where I got his company's name. I hear from him the next day saying that he's been having email problems and that he'll come back the following Tuesday, June 4. He no-shows, calls me on Thursday to say that he had to take care of someone who had to go to the hospital and that'll he be at my place the following Wednesday, June **. Again, he no-shows and calls me the next day saying he's sorry, he's trying to find time and will definitely be back on Saturday, June **. He no-shows and I don't hear back from him until Friday July ** after I had emailed him a few days before letting him know that I had a Gutter Installer take a look at the damaged pipe and immediately knew it was a result of the PVC pipe being pulled from the base of the house. [redacted] claims ignorance and offers to come back in September to re-seed and offers no explanation as to why he never showed up back in June. As you can tell, he only answers emails when I threaten to write a bad review and he only wants to come back with the busy landscaping season is over.Desired Settlement: $500 so that I can hire a new landscaper to finish the job of removing small loose rocks and re-seed the lawn.$100 to have a new gutter downspout installed.$600 total.
