PURCHASED A $3300.00 BEDROOM SUITE LAST DECEMBER AND THE HEADBOARD BROKE ON BOTH SIDES. THE OWNER OF RIVERVIEW WILL NOT REPLACE OR REFUND MONEY. I purchased a [redacted] bedroom suite for my 13 year grandson for Christmas. The suite was delivered and the 2 men was not sure how to put the bed together. Finally did but the headboard moved back and forth. We thought it would be ok but in June the headboard broke away from the storage unit and splintered the wood. The owner of Riverview wants to put a bolt in my new furniture, refuses a replacement or refund. I do not want this new furniture patched together. I called [redacted], the manufacturer and this furniture was discontinued. Needless to say I was not told this when I purchased it. I had planned on purchasing another end table for this Christmas. Now I have a very expensive bed that is broken with no fix. I paid $3345.00 by credit card.Desired SettlementI would like a replacement bed. I love the suite but it needs to be put together properly. If this is not possible I would take a refund and find another suite with another furniture store. The owner has not worked with me at all and when I got upset when he told me he would only put a bolt in the bed, he hung up on me. Will never do business with this company again and others need to know what kind of business he is conducting.Business Response The manufacturer went out of business. The warranty is through the manufacturer. Riverview Galleries offered to repair the bed at our expense but the customer refused the offer.Consumer Response I do not want to patch the bed back together. I want a new suite. Why would I want a bolt put in my new bed when it was not designed for a bolt. What happens if the post split when drilling the bolt. What about the post that is splintered. I suppose they will duck tape it. This is not what I paid for. I bought new furniture not used or damaged furniture.
I purchase a high-end [redacted] electric recliner for disabled veteran husband . The leather has faded on the chair , I spoke with [redacted] at the store and he ignored for 4 months before taking my complaint seriously. I stopped but store and he sent someone out to spray solution on the chair for one week, then he said he' lol be back I after one week to re-paint leathery. I asked the store for another chair . This is when they sent me papers stating that the leather will fade. I was never told this prior to my purchase of the chair. This is unprofessional and unacceptable .I would like another recline. I paid over $1200.00 for the chair.Desired SettlementTo see to it that Riverview furniture galleries exchange my recliner for another one of equal value.Business Response You can visit[redacted] to view the factory warranty. Because of blood pressure medication, various hair products and other individual skin oils they do not cover leather fading or discoloring.
