On 7/19/2016 [redacted] called me to report that her car incurred damage from one of our vehicles on Highway HI (I39) south around the area of Stevens Point.  She said the incident occurred around 9:17am on 7/19.  She did not have a chance to get any identifying...

information other than it said “River View Construction”.  I told her that I had to do some investigating to find out who would have been in that area during that time. I called our dispatcher and discussed it with him.  He gave me a list of drivers who may have been in that area during that time frame.  I called each one of them to inquire if it was them who may have done the damage.  We determined that Ken, driving 1077 was indeed the driver who caused the damage to [redacted] vehicle.  We determined that there was a crack in the seal of the tailgate and when traveling contents of the truck’s box was escaping the vehicle.  Our truck maintenance supervisor welded this problem area to ensure this type of damage did not happen again. On 7/26, I followed up with [redacted].  I told her that we would pay to get the chip in her windshield and chipped paint repaired.  She went to Safelite in Rhinelander on 7/26 and got her windshield repaired.  Safelite billed our account for the cost.  On 7/26 [redacted] went to Shimkus Auto Body and received an estimate for $1,214.31 to repair the chips in her paint caused by our vehicle.  We agreed to pay the bill directly once repairs are completed.  Shimkus has our billing information and plans on billing us directly.  I apologize for not getting back to you sooner, but your letter did not filter over to my desk until 7/28/2016. Please confirm your receipt of this email so I can ensure you received it. [redacted] SPHRHuman Resources/Safety Manager4140 N 6th StreetWausau WI 54403Office  715-298-6130Fax     715-675-2894
