Review: I came in to Riverside Pawn with the intent on purchasing a laptop. I had found one that I really liked. Before I purchased it, I turned it on and made sure everything was running. It all seemed to be fine, so I went ahead and paid $360 for the unit. On the second day of using the laptop, I noticed that the charger he had included was for a lower wattage device, therefore, the laptop couldn't hold a charge. I was okay with this. Then, on the third day, the laptop would not run any longer. It wouldn't turn on, it wouldn't display anything on the screen. I took it into Best Buy to get it checked out and it turns out the inside of the machine had overheated/melted hardware preventing it from being used. At this point, the machine was "totaled".I took the laptop back to Riverside Pawn to see if I could get some sort of refund or exchange and I was told that there was nothing they could do for me. I would have been fine with just half of my money back, but Brian, the manager, wouldn't do anything for me. I did not even receive an apology for the faulty product. So now I am stuck with a device that is completely useless and cost me $360 dollars.Desired Settlement: I would be like to receive a refund. Even if it's just half of what I paid.

I understand that the customer is upset with this transaction, stating that the computer failed to work properly after just a few days, and would like a refund of the purchase price. While it is not our store policy to guarantee items once they leave our store, we would like to offer the customer a refund of the entire purchase price available through in-store credit. Please understand that we strive to provide our customers with only high quality, gently used merchandise, but it is used merchandise; once the item leaves our possession, we have no way of knowing what, if anything, may have been done to it. However, we do apologies for this inconvenience and hope that this offer is found acceptable. Please forward this offer to the customer and have him contact us at his earliest convenience.
