River side dodge *** kept my truck that I traded off but I still had to pay it off. They resold it while I was paying for it still
I just finished paying for the 1500 dodge ram 4x4 however they had resold it while I was still paying on it. They were getting two people to pay for thw same vehicle. I got word a few months ago that I had finished paying for the truck that was more than fourty thousand dollars however I dint get to keep the truck. When I contacted them about *** my trade in They hung up on me.
I want a truck that is worth 46000.00 out right seeing as that is what i have paid for. I already paid that through ***. I either want my 46000.00 dollars back or another truck equal to that value.
In looking into the file. The customer traded in their truck on a new Dodge Journey July 10th, 2015. There was a lien on the truck that was traded which Riverside Dodge paid out in full of $44,170. The customer received financing from the same lender that held her lien. As for calling the dealership to discuss and being hung up on that would be very regrettable. We were unclear when in the last 4 years the customer inquired but we would be happy to explain the matter and provide supporting documentation. We consider this matter closed.

Company contacted me regarding a prize payout from a Current contest Promotion
On June 25, 2019 I was contacted from a gentleman from Riverside Dodge. I answered my phone, *** asked If he was talking to ***, I said yes, He asked if I had played their Putt 4 Dough Contest, Yes, He said he would like to write me a $10,000 cheque (Contest Grand Prize) for playing the game. I gave him my pin over the phone and he said I had to come to the Dealership with my Pin # printed off and Photo ID for Verification. I informed him that I Could be up the next day, at 2 PM. He said great, asked a couple questions about my current vehicle and said see you then.
June 26, 2019, I Drove to dealership in Prince Albert from Saskatoon (130 KMS one way). Upon arrival, I went to the main desk, and asked where I could find ***. The woman behind the counter took me over to his desk. He greeted me and my fiance, and proceeded to take down some of my personal information. We made short conversation about one day, purchasing a vehicle to essentially be able to tow a boat and/or a RV someday. He was trying to steer me towards a Ram truck, and asked what a comfortable payment would be. I informed him roughly $200-230 biweekly would be what I would be looking at, in the future. *** then asked for my social insurance number so they could do a credit check. Thinking this is part of the process, I allowed them to run it, signing off on it. I was then shifted into *** office, where he ran my credit and made small chat. Shortly after he ran my credit, he said he would be right back, and brought in *** to "help" me out.
*** took me into her cubicle and proceeded to ask me what I was looking for in a truck, and if they could "appraise my car for trade in". It was then that I realized that this whole $10,000 cheque from the contest, didn't exist. It was a way to get my to the dealership to show me the 25% off MSRP on their new vehicles. I had wasted my time and money driving up to Prince Albert, I went along and did a test drive on a truck. *** was really trying to push the sale, had all the figures for trade, payments etc. I told her I really needed to think about it and in my head all I wanted to do was get out of there, but they had my car keys for the "appraisal". Feeling held hostage, and being told "you can afford this truck", I kept telling her I needed to think about it overnight (hoping this would get me my keys and I could finally leave), she left and came back with a coupon card for "coming in today". She gave me business cards and asked that I call her back as soon as I decided. We then got up, and she walked us by a cubicle where my car keys were sitting and we left.
Driving home, *** attempted to call me, I didn't answer and he left a voicemail to call him back at 1(604)***, as I had left without saying "Good Bye".
June 27, 2019, *** attempted to contact me again, and once again I allowed it to go to voicemail.
I don't want any further contact from the business. I am hoping that in the future, the business doesn't contact people, falsely telling them "I would like to write you a cheque for $10,000 and that they need to come to the dealership to pick it up", only to get people in the door to try to sell them something. Being that I had thought my Credit Score was run, for me to pick up the $10,000 prize cheque, I would like any adjustment to my credit report due to this *** interaction, reversed.
The $10,000.00 contest did exist and the rules of the contest were explained to the customer who signed the waiver and guest sheet and agreed to participate in the event. The signed guest sheet clearly states that the "guest acknowledges that we may need to access their credit bureau in order to determine the best available programs and incentives that they may qualify for". The customer did express interest in purchasing a new vehicle during the event when they were at the dealership. The customer has now been be removed from our contact list.
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I did sign the guest sheet and I had read the contest rules. The PUTT 4 DOUGH contest rules stated and I QUOTE " OFFICIAL RULES NO PURCHASE, TEST DRIVE OR SUBMISSION TO SALES PRESENTATION NECESSARY TO PARTICIPATE OR WIN. MAKING A PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE CHANCES OF WINNING.' It also states that the payout of $10,000 CASH ODDS OF WINNING ARE 1:30,000. PROMOTION DATES : ELIGIBLE INDIVIDUALS WILL RECEIVE THEIR PIECES VIA CANADIAN POST BY 4/5/19 AND MAY ONLY PARTICIPATE IN THE PROMOTION FROM 4/5/19 THROUGH THE CLOSE OF BUSINESS ON 7/31/19." I find it funny that today's date is July 10/19 and your contest can no longer be found online, or on any social media, GOOD thing I took screen shots of the contest rules! My issues are with the sales rep for YOUR company and how you ALLOWED him to make a FALSE REPRESENTATION. As stated before, YOUR salesman called me, Informed me that I had won $10,000 and that I had to come to the dealership with the CODE and my ID to pick up my cheque. The salesman knew I lived out of town and that I had to make a special trip from Saskatoon to Prince Albert. Once at dealership the following day, YOUR salesman didn't say that I hadn't won, or that there was $10,000 towards a new vehicle. I was kicked between people and the next thing I know, I am being told I can afford this $60,000 truck. I had told all the sales people I was looking in the future, not at the moment and I was there to get my "Contest Winnings". Unfortunately all of them ignored me and kept trying to push a sale on me.
YOUR salesman got me up there to your dealership, under false pretenses. I had no other reason to go up there to your dealership other than to pick up my $10,000 cheque, which I was told to come and pickup by YOUR salesman over the phone.

If I had honestly wanted to buy or look at a Dodge vehicle, I could've saved 3 hours of driving time and went to the 2 Dodge dealerships located here in Saskatoon.
I bought a new Jeep ($37,665.84 still owing today) from Riverside Chrysler on Jan 31, 2018. I gave specific instructions to the dealership that my wife's name was not to be on the title in any shape or form. *** I made sure that her name was not to be on the title.
While I was waiting for the financial arrangements to be approved, I went outside and looked at vehicles. While I was gone, she went in and had another contract printed, identical to my sales contract and had my name replaced with hers. I was not aware of this at the time. She then went to get the vehicle registered in her own name with herself as the sole beneficiary. That means that if the vehicle is wrecked or stolen that she would be the beneficiary of the payout, even though I am making all the payments.
My wife and I separated in May and she has attempted to take the vehicle from me. With the two bills of sale, the one they gave me, and the one they printed up for her, I cannot prove to the insurance provider who owns the vehicle.
I contacted Riverside Chrysler and they said that was completely illegal. They said you can't write two bills of sale for one vehicle. Then I contacted *** and they said the bill of sale they had for the Jeep from *** was identical to the original which I showed them when I tried to legally transfer the plates. The only difference was that my name and signature *** was removed from the contract and was replaced by her name and signature.
When I took this information back to Riverside, they said this was legal and that they did it all the time. They have refused to help me get proper title for the vehicle sorted out. In the meantime I still have to pay out the contract and make the payments as the financing part is still all in my name.
Other (requires explanation) ***. I would like clear title to the Jeep, as it is my purchase, my payments, my financial arrangements. Her only involvement was driving it and now trying to take it from me illegally.
My name is *** and I am the Finance Director here at Riverside Dodge. This is my version of the events that occured during the customer's purchase. On Jan 31 2018, the customer, accompnied by his significant other, came to our dealership to purchase a *** Sales person *** was assisting the customers with the sales process and in turn introduced them to myself to take a credit application as he found the *** he wanted to purchase. The application was submitted and an approval was granted via *** I advised the customer of the the great news and made arrangements for him to come back to sign the finance documents. The customer, accompanied by his significant other, showed up for the appointment and signed the finance agreement, He had then requested to have the license & registration in his significant others name. Seeing this is a common thing with spousal/common law, I agreed to do so by printing the bill of sale and NVIS (New vehicle information statement ) in his significant other's name. The customers then went to *** to register the vehicle. Upon their return as per company policy, I took a photo copy of the registration and gave the customers their spare key then turned them back to *** to finish the delivery.

I told Riverside I didnt want my spouses name anywhere on the contract for the reasons I outlined. I didnt give *** the reasons. He agreed. The receipt given to my wife was not given in my presence. I knew nothing about a counterfit receipt being issued until my wife said she owned the jeep several months later. I certainly never requested a counterfit receipt be issued to anyone. I wasnt present when she received this receipt or when she registered the vehicle and certainly would not have consented. The bank said the receipt was illegal. The RCMP said the receipt was illegal & confiscated it. They told my wife to sign the Jeep over into my name.
