business is also a fitness center. business is advertising 2 year membership for $39.99. I (customer) asked for this deal 1 year ago when I noticed it. business owner stated it has expired and is no longer available.
1 month ago business owner posted the business page ***. the same deal is still on the web page. I approached business owner again requesting that deal. however the business owner was very rude and started getting very upset. stating that he only has 20 active member at the gym, he has a full time job, this is a community service...all because I asked for this sale posted on their web page. I do not believe I should be treated or talked to like that from a business owner when I have always paid my membership. the business owner then emails my boyfriend- not myself, stating how my *** accusations are wrong, then continues to post link to their web page. the 2 year membership for $39.99 is still posted. however he will not honour.

Hello *** tried to text *** but no answer not sure if the number *** provided is correct at *** anyhow here is the text I just wrote to answer*** question/accusation of us doing *** advertising from today ***
***, I just double checked with our web page technician and all those old rates of $39.99 plus GST = $42 have been removed from our web site a long time ago, well over 18 months ago most likely 2 years ago on all our sites *** not sure where you are finding any of those old rates, if you do they have not been active for a long time now, the PDF file from 2016 has been posted with those changes in *** on all our web sites, it all shows 49.99/month plus GST = $52.50 for the 6 month term along with all the short term one single week, one single month or the 3 month The reason the 2 year does not exist is the fact that 80% did not follow through with it leaving us short of their contract, seems like *** is getting more and more of a transition rural area with short term stay, regardless its been one rate for longer term members at $49.99 for well over 2 years and those rates have been well advertised and explained to you in numerous occasions. Again we operate a small community service gym with top of the line equipment and with the rate increase in liability insurance, utilities, lease/taxea, equipment repairs/services etc, those rates with the low number of members we have, is barely sustainable and had to be adjusted 2 years ago
yes if you see them posted send me a link to them we can try and deal with it, old web page links may show them but the date of 2016 or older will be attached to them as well, again we are doing our best to keep this community service open for *** if someone thinks they can do a better job or want to take over, please tell them to contact us will be glad to pass along the torch, meanwhile we will try and continue on doing what we can with what we have for our 25-30 active members, understanding that the river rafting business that operates in this building is what keeps this place open.

I would like to disagree about the statement how I aggressively attacked the front desk. I approached nicely asking about the deal. As I got quickly shut down and raised voice as a response. As a customer I feel I should not have been attacked and spoken to the way that was handled.
We stayed at their Guest House in June this year and we were extremely disappointed by our stay. It was noted on the site that it was a B&B but when we got there, I texted them the evening of the first stay to inquire and notified us that they stopped the breakfast way back yet they had it posted up so that was extremely disappointing. Secondly, it was no guest house by any means as far as seclusion goes. The owners were upstairs making noise and stomping about all night for the nights we stayed there so we couldn't sleep properly. Thirdly, I was very shocked and surprised to see that there wasn't a fire alarm in each room. That is a requirement by the guidelines of establishments so that made me uneasy. We were told there was great wifi and it was extremely slow when it even worked. Also, we were told we would have great tv selections and it was very limited. The room was quite cold and smelled mouldy when we got in there so I decided to turn on the heat to warm the place up. We also had wet clothes from our camping trip that needed to be dried so we had to ask the owners to help us get it turned on and they had to come turn the pilot light on. We left it on all night as we were extremely cold and the heating barely came into our room. We then closed the windows and let the heat run the next day while we were out to dry our clothes further, only to discover they came into our room without our permission, turned the heat off and opened the windows leaving our clothes still soaking wet and our room cold once again. They said they came in to tidy up but clearly they weren't tidying up, *** We didn't ask for them to come in and we didn't like their invasion of privacy. We wanted privacy and that was supposed to be the point of this place but all we had was loud noises, a cold moudly room and people coming in during our stay without our permission. I asked for a partial refund the first day we noticed the mouldy, cold smell and the misrepresentation of the room but they refused to and changed the subject. I am very upset and I want a refund for this. I have a had a lot going on in my life and I have just been able to handle this now. We wasted money and had our privacy invaded while trying to enjoy some time out in Clearwater.

In relation to this unfounded complaint above, we have been operation our business at this location for over 25 years now and have never had any issues related to the complaint above, we have maintained a SUPER HOST status with *** for many years and have continual great review on it as well as *** We sensed issues with this particular couple from the beginning complaining about so many unfounded issues, just impossible to please. My wife Liana has done house keeping at this location for so many years without ever hearing issues related to indiscreetly entering the Guest House to refresh things with towels/sheets, garden cut flowers, garbage removal etc. These people were unable to enjoy the pristine riverside outdoor setting, more worried about how many channels the *** provided and the speed of rural wifi. Impossible to please and should be charged double for all the grief my wife and I had to endure from them. They are definitely black listed from our business, after 25 years in this industry dealing with thousands of first class satisfied tourists we simply don't have the patience or the will to come down to the level of such unfounded complaints. We know we go beyond guests expectations and service, we worked in this industry long enough to see through such poor founded complaints. The reason they most likely did not like to have Liana come in to do room service is that they had drugs all over the living room table (large quantity of hemp) which is where there so said bad smells came from. We are definitely not refunding such ungrateful guests and I hope other businesses are also able to stand up to such poor customers, best for them to get a highway hotel outside a big city for what they are looking for. Sorry for the venting but this is not going any further, case closed as far as we are concerned, just no time in life for more energy spent on these people.

Despite the fact that they have never had complaints, all of what I have attested to is true. They lied about the internet connection saying it was good when it was poor, the tv had limited channels, they were noisy the whole time we were there (and we couldn't enjoy our stay), they turned the heat off without asking us ruining our wet clothes and leaving the mouldy smell to arise in the room again that was there when we got there in the first place and they invaded our privacy. Like I said they didn't come in there to clean ***. What the owner said was untrue about their quality of service and I tried to get a refund the first night we were there but he refused and continued to talk over me avoiding the topic. They didn't stay to their standards as promised and didn't give us breakfast and I'm not concerned if they blacklist us as we didn't intend on coming back with the experience we have. I still want a refund for at least one night for what we had to endure. That stay was trUly the worst we experienced and I've been lenient lowering the refund to one night to be refunded considering all of this.Thank you
On July 16, 2017, I went on the website to look into the cancellation policy. I checked under each tab and could not locate it, so I emailed the company, asking what the cancellation policy was, as it was not in my confirmation email booking for 22 family members to go rafting with this company on August 5th, and the owner responded on the same day, NOT telling me the cancellation policy, but rather telling me that he was still running tours twice per day, that our trip was still far away, and that if they couldn't provide us with rafting on the day of, that we would be refunded, but no where in the email, did he answer my question. We have an uncle whose leg surgery has not healed fast enough and is unable to raft, and another uncle, plus 2 aunts who are out with back injuries, plus a boy who is unable to be at the reunion period. When my cousin emailed to also inquire about obtaining refunds for them on July 28th, she was told it was an 8 day cancellation policy and that she did not qualify for a refund because the 28th did not count? and ended the email super rudely. I called today (July 31st) to speak to the owner and he admitted that he did not respond to the cancellation policy to me in my email (where I could have cancelled then), that they are having a hard month financially and went round and round in circles with me to the point where I hung up on him. He then called my home and left the rudest voice mail message.
