Review: On January 7th my husband and I met with [redacted] and put a deposit of $2,250 on a water filtration system. The check cleared our bank the same day. [redacted] (he represented himself as the owner) was to contact us with a date for the work to be done within a few days. On January 14th I called and cancelled the order, as my husband had been laid-off work on January 13th, and we could no longer afford the purchase. No one had contacted us to schedule work prior to this date. I spoke with [redacted] on January 19th, and that was the only time he returned my phone call. He promised to refund the money, and he has not. During the last two months I have made repeated phone calls (spoke with [redacted], the receptionistn twice and left many messages on the machine), sent letters and e-mails requesting my deposit money to be refunded, with no response. I want my money refunded immediately - all of it. The contract said there would be a restocking fee, but I believe that would no longer apply as we have waited so long to get our money back. I did not want to believe this person did not run a reputable business, but now I am worried he will never give our money back. We fell on hard times after we put a several thousand dollar deposit on a filter system. We contacted them and where told they understood and would refund us the full amount. We have tried to contact via phone, mail, registered mail and on the phone got the run around by office personnel. The owner is totally unresponsive.
