I have used this local business, car wash, oil change, even bought a set of tires there, for more than 7 years. My wife and her family have used their service since they have been open.
Recently I had new wheels & tires delivered from Tire Rack. Imwaxed the wheels before installing them. Easier to do off the car. They were immaculate.
I take my car through the car wash, pay for the most expensive package, like my wife and I usually do. The rail, on the way in scratches my new wheel. The owner claims it wasn't his wash, must have been there since they mounted the tires. IT WASN'T,
I figure being a long time customer he will surely take care of it. Very important here, I wasn't asking him to replace the wheel, that had less than 1000miles on it, I was hoping he would have a service "touch it up". If he would have listened to me today, instead of telling me he is going to suit me for liable, if I write a review, he would have heard me say, a few washes would make me happy!

If he would have listened to me today, instead of telling me he is going to suit me for liable, if I write a review, he would have heard me say, I am not asking for him to buy me a new wheel, I will take some car wash credits for my damage.
That way he keeps a customer, and keeps all of my family as customers.Desired Settlement: My wheels were $1000.(1000/4=250)
Car wash & oil change credits for $200
Would keep me as a customer and keep me happy.
It would cost him virtually nothing to have me drive through the wash.

Response:
River’s Edge Car Wash’s equipment has been the same all of the times
that [redacted] has brought in his vehicles. We have nothing in the wash
that will damage a vehicle. We took a look at the damage to [redacted]’s
wheel and determined that it was most likely caused by the tire being
mounted on the rim. The damage on the wheel does not match with
anything that can be reproduced at the car wash. If something in the
wash was going to damage one vehicle it would also damage more vehicles.
We have changed nothing in our equipment and we have had no other
damage complaints. We wash lots of vehicles and have had no issues or
complaints with the wash equipment.
We are more than happy to accommodate our customers. We go out of the
way to make sure they return. We cannot take blame just because someone
“says so”. [redacted] is ASE certified, and has mounted and balanced a lot
of tires at our oil change and he is positive that the damage is
conducive to the damage that can occur when using a mounting machine.
If [redacted] would have listened to me today, instead of yelling and
threatening to suit me for the damage on his vehicle, I was willing to
give him Free washes as a compromise because he is such a good customer.
However, I don’t know why he would truly want to wash his car
somewhere where he truly believed his car was damaged.
