Review: On 9/**/11 I bought a 2003 F250 diesel. I was looking for a 7.2 Liter to surprise my husband with but when I came across this one, everything else about it was perfect. This truck has a 6.0 Liter which is known to need all 8 injectors replaced. I told [redacted] that I wouldn't buy the truck with out a warranty to cover the injectors. For $2,815 I bought a premier autoprotec warranty. I asked several times to make sure it covered the injectors, being assured everytime. I was even told by the [redacted] that this warranty covers everything except electrical and wear and tear. Again asking and being reassured that the ejectors were covered. I read the warranty and saw no reason for it not to be covered. I had my 2 year old and 6 month old with me. [redacted] was great to us. He allowed me to use his office to breastfeed and helped me with the carseats during the test drive. I said the truck ran rougher than the others I've driven. When they had the mechanic look at it he said it needed shocks and they told me they would replace them before delivering the truck for me. I had no reason not to trust the dealership. 3 weeks ago we found out that 4 of the 8 injectors needed to be replaced. Costing us $3,500-$4,500 and that's just for 4 of them. My husband is a vet and a very hard worker. He had been driving an old beat up mini van. I saved up money to buy him his dream truck. The year prior to buying it, my father in law spent $6000 in PA to replace all 8 of his injectors in his F250. I knew it would happen to the truck and I would NEVER had bought it with out the injectors being covered under warranty.Desired Settlement: I want the dealership to replace the injectors and no cost.

[redacted],
I am sorry that you are having trouble with your vehicle. I have done extensive investigating on this and we have done all that we can. All [redacted]s involved state that they did not tell you that the injectors would be covered under the extended warranty. In fact, no extended warranty cover injectors. None. The only warranty on these items are the original factory warranty and since you purchased this truck with over 100, 000 miles that has lapsed. I know you have been in contact with Riverhead Nissan and we made many attempts to help you. We first obtained a repair price for you of $3,757 plus tax. We kept looking and got another price of $3,500 including tax and we were told that if you ask for a specific technician he would save you even more money. I am sorry for this misunderstanding and if I can be of assistance please feel free to contact me.
Regards,
Riverhead Nissan

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
I find it interesting that [redacted] spoke to all [redacted]s
involved since when I asked to speak to the [redacted] that I dealt with when I
bought the truck I was told he was no longer with the dealership. Besides him
the only 2 people I would have spoken with is [redacted] and somebody in finance.
I bought the truck with almost $20,000 cash so I didn’t have much to talk about
in finance and every time I came in I spoke to [redacted]. As soon as I called about the injectors
[redacted] told me he remembered me. I know I asked him a few times about the
injectors being covered and he told me they were. [redacted] either has a sketchy
memory or he is lying. I feel [redacted] should definitely speak to the [redacted] who
was present during the sale 2 ½ years ago. He also reassured me that the
warranty covered injectors. I had a very short but specific list going into
buying this truck. Every dealer I went to knew I had a budget of $20,000, I
needed a ford f250 diesel, 7.2 liter otherwise I needed all 8 injectors to have
been replaced or be covered under warranty, extended cab and an 8 foot bed. At
first I thought the dealership made a mistake and I just wanted them to right
that mistake. Now I think they purposely took advantage of my situation (being a
young mom trying to buy my husband a truck while having my 2 little boys in tow
with me). They scammed me and now they are telling me a price of $3500 to replace
4 of the 8 injectors (the other 4 will need to be replaced also) is a favor to
me? I spent almost $3000 just for a warranty to cover this! I work very hard
and I teach my 3 little boys the importance of hard work and honesty. I would
never try to get something for free. But having the injectors covered WAS part of a business deal that I spent years saving for and years researching.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
I knew I would never buy a 6.0 liter with out either the injectors being replaced or it being covered by warranty. No matter what you are trying to pretend happened, I know that after being told the dealership could give me a warranty that would cover the injectors I made sure to ask several times to make sure it was covered. Also, I did read through the warranty before buying the truck (again with my 2 babies with me) and it doesn't state specifically if the injectors are covered or not, which is one of the reasons why I asked several times if it was covered. I was told by Riverhead Auto Mall employees that it was covered under the engine. It wasn't until we picked up the truck from you that we learned otherwise. Again proving this dealership was out to rip me off and scam me from the beginning.

Review: In 2007 I bought a Nissan Centra and I had the GAP to cover my car and anything else that happen to it. In 2009 I bought another car from there a Nissan Grey Centra, they said I didn't have the GAP on it. The car was wrecked. In 2013 I bought a Nissan Versa from the same people and same dealer, I traded it in 2014 for a Nissan Marano since September **. Sept. ** I complained about the car and I told them I did not want it, I,m not gonna pay cause this isn't the car I wanted, I want the car I want. I spoke to the [redacted], and the [redacted], the next day she asked how I liked the car and I told her I didn't like it, and asked if I could take it back they said I cant. I spoke to [redacted] (shes a [redacted]) Nissan motor acceptance corporation and I complain about consumer affair. I told her it was rust stains and there were welding parts. This is a brand new car this should not be, she told me to take it to the mechanic and I said its a new car it shouldn't need a mechanic. And they told me they would get back to me and its October ** and I,m still waiting. They also told me to bring back the car when the registration gets here which it has not arrived yet and I've complain about the car the very next day and I told the [redacted] and they aren't doing anything whatsoever and now I'm complaining to Revdex.com.Desired Settlement: Replacement and an year back payment from 2009 that they had me pay double for the 2014 Nissan Versa, they had me pay for a year.

Response:
Dear [redacted],
I have spoken to all the necessary parties at the dealership and believe I have answers to all of your concerns. In 2013 when the Sentra was totaled and you came in for the Versa we had obstacles getting you approved due to the outstanding balance on the Sentra. We fought very hard to get an 'Exchange of Collatera'l through Nissan. This is where Nissan exchanged the VIN from the Sentra to the Versa and your monthly payment remained the same. This is not something that is done often and it is not and easy feat. You did keep and drive the Versa for one year and that is why you made one year of payments.
As far as the Murano goes, we absolutely do not want you driving a vehicle that you are not happy with. Unfortunately, we are unable to do anything until you receive your vehicle registration. We did check and it has not come in yet but, we expect it any day. We are checking every day and will call you as soon as we get it so that you may come in and we can get you on your way to driving a car that you love.
Thank you for your patience and we look forward to seeing you soon,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.
Thank you for responding but the part about the 2013 Nissan is not true. It was a 2009 black Nissan Centra. It was in a car accident and totaled, it was protected by G.A.P and purchased credit life and disability insurance and the Nissan people did not honor that. I was entitled to a Nissan refund and did not receive it. They told the Nissan Motor Corporation that I brought in a totaled wrecked car which is not true and had me paying on the 2009 and 2014 Nissan Versa in one payment. I am 81 years old I've been dealing with Nissan for over 8 years, I came in Sept. ** traded in the 2014 Nissan Versa for a 2014 Nissan Murano the I picked out, they gave me the one THEY picked out. And when I got it home the next day Sept. **, I realized that there was rust stains and rusted pipes underneath the car, I called the Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation to let them know I do not want this car. I've been complaining since Sept. **, when the registration came Oct. ** I called the Nissan people the same day and I talked to the sales person [redacted] and he said to me "I don't think I can get you out of the contract but you can come back and try", they are giving me the run-around and I just want to get the car I want that I like not what they want or they like and if they can't do that then I will go somewhere else. I just don't want to leave on a sour note.
Sincerely,
Review: I was told I had to put a $250 deposit for the registration and the balance would be refunded.I was charged $250 on my credit card.DMV charged $60. I called for my $190 refund and was told it would not be refunded.I also noticed now that a plate fee was charged on the invoice but I transferred the plates from the previous car.My salesman is no longer with the company. I spoke with several people at Riverhead Automall and was told good luck getting your money back.Desired Settlement: I would like at least the $190 that I overpaid to register the car although it should be $250 since $65 was added to the invoice and included in the price of the car.

Response:
[redacted],
Hello, it is [redacted], I met you at our other dealership the week before you and [redacted] purchased the Elantra Coupe. I have received your complaint and after EXTENSIVE research I have come up with this. The $65 plate fee was for the transfer of the plates (please keep in mind the expiration date on it, as it does not change with the purchase of the car), you will get a refund check directly from DMV for whatever the balance of the registration was on the vehicle that the plates were transferred from. The amount of the certified check was supposed to be for $20,835 but, it was made out for $20,585. That was the $250.00 difference. I do apologize for the misunderstanding. I have been over your paperwork countless times and that is where the discrepancy lies.
We would be more than happy to have you come in and sit to review this with you but, as long as you refrain from yelling and threatening our staff. I have been told that the effort was made to go over the numbers with you but you became belligerent.
Please feel free to reach out to me and I can set this up for you.
Thank you,
Review: I bought my car at Riverhead Auto mall on the 09/**/2014. As a first time car buyer, I thought that the sales people at the dealership were doing me a favor, so I signed the dealer facility no [redacted]. It wasn't long, I misplaced my car keys and I have to toll my car to dealer for key replacement, then I realized that the services that the mall sold to me was bogus and won't cover most of the expenses. These services are :
Extended warranty: $3000.00
Rim and towing: $2016.03
Towbuster: $2000.00
VSC refund : $ 1000.00
All these were included in my auto loan. So, when I realized that these services was just a reap off, I decided to cancel all the services on 04/*/2015 and 04/*/2015 and was told that the refund will sent to the lien bank. Since then, Riverhead auto mall had only refund $2610.00 for the extended warranty. I have called the auto mall and drove to the dealership myself on numerous occasion. they told me that they don't were the refund checks are or went to. They keep telling me that they will call me back to let me the outcome but never for once had they call me. I am so sick and tired of calling them or going to the dealership and they keeping telling the same thing.Desired Settlement: They should refund Rim and towing: $2016.03,Towbuster: $2000.00, VSC refund : $ 1000.00 to my lien bank because the service had been cancelled for more than 6 months now.

[redacted], I have received your complaint and I am very familiar with the situation as I am the one you originally spoke to. As I explained to you; we have no control over Nissan Usa's decision making process. You will have to speak to them about being reimbursed for your rental fees. As for the clock spring, the repair/recall we preformed was in the engine portion of the steering column, not the steering wheel where the clock spring is located. I know you were in on 8/**/15 for this issue but were unable to wait for a diagnosis. My service manager would like to invite you to make an appointment that fits your schedule so that we may look at your vehicle. Please let me know if I may assist you further, [redacted]Nissan 112

I WAS TOLD THEY WOULD ONLY TALKE ONE.Desired Settlement: REMOVE ALL INQUIRIES NOW.

[redacted], I do apologize that you are not completely satisfied but, we did everything in our power to get you approved. We did submit your information to 6 different banks in an effort to get you into the Veloster but, unfortunately, we were not able to obtain an approval. Had you been approved anywhere, the previous 30 days of inquiries would not have stayed on your credit report. That being said, we are unable to remove the inquiries from your credit report. I would suggest that you call [redacted] and [redacted] to see if there is a way to do this. I wish you luck and if you have any further questions, please call me at [redacted]Thank you, [redacted]
