Review: I recently booked a weekend at the River Ranch Lodge and within 24hrs had to cancel due to a health emergency. When I called the hotel, I explained the situation and she immediately said that it was no problem, she would cancel the reservation. She then sent me a 'Confirmation of Cancellation' via email...which I received within minutes of our conversation. We had no other discussion regarding cancellation policies.This past Saturday 1/10/15 I got a phone call from the hotel letting us know that we did not check in and they would have to charge us for one full night. When I spoke with the manager, she asked to see the 'Cancellation Confirmation'. She then said that's not their policy. Regardless of their policy, 'someone' from River Ranch Lodge approved my cancellation. I shouldn't have to pay for their mistake.Desired Settlement: I would like them to refund my full amount.
