I established primary care with *** (nurse practitioner), the owner of River Family Medicine, on December 7, 2019. The initial consultation went okay. I was informed by *** that I needed to stop by the office at a later time to pick up my lab sheet and a gym pass that she was going to give me. I stopped by on the day and time that I had given *** on December 7, 2019. When I got to the office, *** wasn't there. No one answered the knock on the exam room door. I waited in the lobby and finally left to return home. I called and left a message for *** to let her know that I had stopped by. I also asked her to call me and let me know a better time for me to pick up the lab sheet and gym pass. My call was never returned. After a few days of calling repeatedly to reach *** , she finally got back to me. I was horrified at the fact that she acted like the whole ordeal was my fault. I was told by her that she had waited for me later on the same day that I had stopped by the office, but I didn't show up. I told her that I had called and left a message for her. She didn't acknowledge her negligence to listen to my message and return my call in a timely manner. After going back and forth with her, we finally set up a different time for me to pick up the gym pass. To this day, I never received my lab sheet to complete my bloodwork.
I should've taken heed to the above FIRST experience with *** because it was a clear indication of what our patient/medical provider relationship was going to end up like moving forward. Every time I have called the business line to ask a question, report updates on my medical issues, or to set up an appointment, no one answers the phone. I started sending *** messages through***. Even still, she didn't respond right away. When I did receive a response, it was days later. *** was never apologetic to the point of changing why her communication with me (the patient) was inconsistent, sloppy, and unprofessional.
she has to come in and sign a medical release. I can't release anything until she signs the medical release. I have asked her a thousand times to do this. Its illegal for me to send this information through a fax without her signing the release form or she can come in and pick them up in person.
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is acceptable because I wish to move on. There is no sense in arguing and going back and forth with ***. My current medical provider has adequate information to move forward as well. No further documentation is needed.
