Customers Nissan Rogue was towed in on 9/3/Customers insurance looked at vehicle on 9/6/and wrote an estimateThe initial estimate amount was close to exceeding value of vehicle and could be a total loss upon tear down and discovery of hidden damageWhen this was explained to the
customer, the customers insurance communicated that the customer had recently spend 4,on the motor and on the sunroof and wanted to repair vehicle vs total loss, if at all possibleInsurance agreed to repair vehicle a X dollar amountCustomer came to the shop and indicated that she wanted to do whatever was possible to repair vehicleThe rear body panel was repaired instead of replaced, the left qtr panel was not blended and the tab was glued on the evap canister instead of replacing canisterThe modified repairs were non structural and allowed us to repair the vehicle for the amount the insurance company agreed to pay.On 8/22/customer came in with the evap canister stating the vehicle did not pass inspection and believed it was because the tap had been glued on the canister at the time of repairThe glued tab was still in tackShe also thought the factory mold seam was a crack in the canister. The evap canister is a consumable part that can need to be replaced as part of maintenanceThe customer did not bring the vehicle back to us to diagnose, so we have no way of telling if the glued tab had anything to due with the failure of the canister or weather it was a maintenanceWhen the vehicle left there was no warning lights on indicating there was a leak. We believe we did a quality repair for the amount agreed to with the customers approval
