I purchased a belly button ring at Rings and Things on Friday, June 5th. I put it in that day, and about 2 hours later noticed that a majority of the gems had fallen out of it, rendering the ring completely useless. I had to contact the store twice to inquire about an exchange of the ring before I got an answer, and when I finally did, it was very unsatisfactory. They said I could not exchange the ring because I had used it. However, the ring was useless and ruined anyways, it's not as if it could be resold. We have no control what happens to the product after leaving the store location. A return or exchange would have been given but the consumer had admitted she had worn the jewelry. Due to health concerns and health risks we do not refund or exchange on body jewelry or earrings. The consumer is also informed at the point of purchase that there are no refunds or exchanges on personal items such as body jewelry.
