Review: Rim Rock Motel added a $25 charge to my credit card without informing me. I called to find out why. They asked, "Did you dye your hair while you were staying here?" No, I sure hadn't. They said there was "this red stuff" on a towel I had used. I didn't deal with any "red stuff" while I was there: lipstick, blood, ketchup. Maybe I wiped my hands on a towel after eating a tomato? I did have a tomato with me. Surely a hotel is accustomed to people wiping their hands on towels. I responded that if I am buying a $25 towel, I'd like them to send me the towel. They refused.

After this woman checked out, the room attendant that striped out the room brought to my attention a set of damaged towels with what appeared to be red hair dye on them. I collected the towels from the room and after several treatments and washing, the dye would not come out. The guest was charged a $25.00 USD fine (not a purchase) for damage to our property. On her receipt that she had signed, it states that guests are responsible for any damages they cause.

The guest is being held accountable for that damage.
