Complaint[redacted] of **/[redacted] Right is the broker for [redacted] He has failed to file 1099-MISC in a timely manner. I am active Navy currently stationed in Corpus Christi, Texas. [redacted] is my rental manager for my house at[redacted], Brighton, TN. [redacted] is the broker for[redacted] and he spoke with[redacted] in regards to this years taxes stating that he is going to charge $10 to property owners in order to complete the 1099-MISC for taxes. Two years in a row he has failed to submit 1099 to home owners in a timely manner. The above discussion between [redacted] and[redacted] was sent out via email on the 15th of January. It is now the 10th of February and we have yet to receive our tax info. Last year we received a copy of the 1099-MISC via email on 7 Feb 2013 and the original was later received in the mail. There has been no other communication from [redacted] on the status of our 1099-MISC.Desired SettlementI do not want to be charged for services that he is failing to do for me and other home owners. I want to end my business dealings with [redacted]. Here is the email that I sent Mr. [redacted] yesterday:"Mr. [redacted],I apologize for the problems that you are having as far as receiving your 1099. My CPA mailed all of the 1099s to the landlords over 2 weeks ago, and yours was send to[redacted] Dr, [redacted]. After talking to [redacted], she informed me that your mailing address had changed, and that she had failed to let me know of the address change. [redacted] is a very competent property manager, and it was strictly an over-site on her part. The address correction has been made, and once again I apologize for the problem. I wish you had contacted me and informed me that you had not received your 1099 before filing your complaint to the Revdex.com. There is a lack of response from this company involving [redacted] and [redacted] never responded while [redacted] quit resoundingON 8/27 I called and left a message with [redacted] and received was ignored. A friend contacted [redacted] who called me and on 9/4 emailed a release to talk to my mortgage company. From that day I have heard nothing from him. This is bad business practice for a company in a service business.Desired SettlementI would like to hear from[redacted] why this business ignores people. A simple call to say my business is not desired would speak volumes about a company in a service business. Business Response Mr. [redacted] contacted me concerning the possible sale of his home, and yes he did send me the requested release documents. I sent the release documents to the lender, and never heard back from them. I dropped the ball on the follow-up.[redacted] had nothing to do with this situation, other than just happening to answer the phone when Mr. [redacted] called the office looking for me. The office had nothing to do with this failure to return a phone call. It was totally my fault that a return call was not made and I apologize for the over-site. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)[redacted] was called first and I never recieved a response from her. She was the first person to ignore me. Plus I have not heard from anyone about selling the house to this point.Final Business Response To whom it may concern: Once again I am sorry that Mr. [redacted] has not accepted the response that was given to him. I have apologized for the company and for myself in not responding to Mr. [redacted]'s call. I see no benefit in me calling Mr. [redacted] now, since the damage has been done and no matter what I say or do will make it right. This is my final response to Mr. [redacted]'s complaint and once again I am truly sorry for the lack of communication on our part. I wish all the luck to Mr. [redacted] in finding someone that he can work with.
