Ridgefield Recovery Village

I was a client of this facility 8/2017-9/2017. I was told at that time during a financial consultation that services were completely covered by my insurance (***). Upon discharge I received a bill for $80.00 for food which I paid in full. I received multiple checks from *** which I forwarded to the address that I was instructed. 10 months later having had no correspondence with this facility I received a letter from a collection agency requesting payment of $21,744.80. I have contacted the collection agency and filed a dispute. I requested a breakdown of the amount allegedly owed and have received it. I noted that the address for The Recovery Village was 6505 W Park Blvd -Ste 336 Plano TX 75093 (855)-875-4059 which I assume is the corporate office. I am disputing all unpaid charges based on the fact that I was told that I was completely covered, and based also on the fact that there was absolutely zero correspondence from the provider prior to 6/29/2018 which was a letter from the collection agency. After reading online reviews of The Recovery Village Ridgefield I see that I am not the only client who was told up front that financial responsibility would not be an issue only to find that that was not the case at all. Very poor business practice.
