I received Defective machine, and then entered into endless struggle to get it repaired
This is a scam company , I bought a Ricoma Embroidery Machine TC 1501 from their agent in Ontario, the machine was shipped to me from USA office after over a month , when I tried to operate the machine it was defective and since that time I'm still struggling between the agent in Ontario and Ricoma USA office where each one of them try to extract money and claim I have to pay for technician transportation and expenses to come to my place and repair the machine which I refused since I bought new machine and supposed to be under 1 year warranty as they claim.
The funny thing that they had many video chat with me and ask me to preform some repair, and then when it didn't work they just say it seems I mad some mistake while doing the work that they were supposed to do and they think that the reason that now the machine is not working .
This is a total scam , but in legal and official way , Do not fall for it .
I hope this message and review will help in saving other victims from falling to this scam .
1/ Full Refund or 2/ Full replacement or 3/ Full Repair at the cost of the manufacturer
Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. We are so sorry that you had a negative experience with one of our distributors outside USA. Our goal is the total satisfaction of our end users, and to provide a positive experience. This is why even if the machine was purchased through one of our distributors we help the end user with any issues they may encountered. In your particular case, you did not purchase the machine from us. This transaction was done outside the US and from a company in Canada on October 2nd, 2018. On your agreement (see attached) it mentions you have one year warranty on parts and labor (transportation not included) and this is was explained verbally and in writing by the company you purchased the goods from. The company in Canada has given you the quote to send a technician to fix your machine or to replace the machine but you are not willing to pay what it was agreed upon your contract (transportation). To resolve this, we escalated this internally in our headquarters and we are sending a technician who is close to your location to get this issue fixed. So as you can see, even though the machine was not purchased through our headquarters, we went above and beyond to assist the customer and to send a technician to fix any issues.
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The statement of the company is totally different from reality.
I have contacted Ricoma through their website and requested the purchase of their machine directly from them , Ricoma forwarded my request to their Distributor in Canada and requested him to handle this inquiry.
after finalizing all the details , the machine was shipped to me directly from Ricoma USA and not from the distributor .
So far my problem still remain , and even after 8 month I'm still struggling with defective machine and all what I hear either good wishes or nice complement and apologies , but no serious action has been taken to solve my problem ,other than the usual blackmail of their distributor and reminder that the 1 year warranty will soon finish and even the nice talk that I'm getting will vanish.
as I state from the beginning my intention is to solve my problem immediately and not to go into all these blame games between the factory and their distributors , I have received defective machine and its the responsibility of the manufacturer to guarantee the quality of his product, any side arrangement between the manufacturer , brand owner or their distributor is not my concern and I shouldn't be penalized for choosing wrongtheir bad distributor .
To solve this issue I'm ready to accept the following : let Ricoma send New machine to their new distributor in Calgary , I will take the defective machine and go to his city where I will give back to him and exchange it with new machine , later on the distributor can fix the machine and sell it or use it as demo machine for new clients or do whatever Ricoma want .
But please if Ricoma really claim they are decent company and do care about their products, brand and clients I appreciate if they can solve my problem through fair solution immediately
This is to confirm that the dispute has been resolved .
Ricoma USA have arranged technician from my city in Canada who came to inspect the machine,he reported the problem back to Ricoma and they sent him all the required parts which he replaced and insured the machine is running as it should be .
I would like to thank Ricoma for their responsible, professional and ethical handling of the problem , also I want to withdraw my complain and apologize for all the trouble that has been caused in the process .
