Review: My grandaughter's instructor, [redacted], has been continuously rude to the students, and not supportive of their efforts. I particularly noticed her lack of communication and rudeness such as not explaining, being very abrupt with students, particularly [redacted]tudents. The company accepted our payment and then informed us that my grandaughter was not as advanced as other students. She should not have been allowed to participate in that advanced class. She is not allowed to fully participate and sits out on some of the exercises. Same payment as other families. The company accepted our payment and my grandaughter has been humiliated and treated in a very insensitive, uncaring manner.Note: Her father attended olympiad 25 years ago. The staff was supportive and caring. Some of the company's customer service is appalling and what a shame!Desired Settlement: Full refund of session. Tumbling for Cheer

TO: Revdex.com of Central Virginia, Inc.
Review: The business coninues to schedule practice times and without notification no one shows up. Then when you voice a complaint the coach is combative and argumenative and says well you cancel but you have to pay a 30 day notice. This is not how business should be conducted. A business is to be open their posted hours. In addition, this particular coach is out on the floor with young children teaching gymnastics and while they are working on a jump, parallel bar of whatever the case she is on the floor texting and talking on her phone. If you can't be at a designated practice then advanced notification should be given to the parent prior to them driving 30 minutes to practice, waiting in the parking lot for 30 minutes, having another parent call the teacher only to find out she isn't coming. I was asked to be a team mom to avoid this from happening the last time that it did and the coach failed to even notify me much less the other parents that were waiting in the parking lot. The coach went on the floor with the kids in boots and jeans and advised me that she wasnt in the mood for gymnastics she had exams that week. To my surprise she is studying [redacted]!! Wow, what college are they teaching the mannerisms at?Desired Settlement: I would like an apology letter from Richmond Olympiad. The teacher needs to be provided training on how to manage her area of the business for Richmond Olympiad. In addition, I expect to be compensated for my wasted gas, and time on December 27, 2013. Furthermore the coach should be subjected to safety training to address her concern with her cell phone while watching children out on the floor. The coach should receive some type of performance management discipline from Richmond Olympiad regarding her attitude toward the parents, children and the company itself. After reimbursement for my time and gas expense it is my further expectation that Richmond Olympiad either remove the coach whom I feel has no business being responsible for children or reassign my daughter to a different coach at another location keeping her same time and day for class.

Response:
First, an apology for not responding sooner. I was out of state and returned to the office on January 6th. Our business was closed for classes from December 20th through January 5th. While we did have team practice during this time, our office staff was mostly on vacation. Our office manager did report to work for a couple of half days during this time. Listed below are items relating to this situation.
1. [redacted] daughter is a member of our [redacted] program at our Hanover location. This program meets twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday. The [redacted] is a pre team program and athletes must be invited to join, after demonstrating a certain level of fitness and gymnastic skills.
2. The [redacted] program follows the same closures as our class prgram. With a break from training at Thanksgiving and a two week break at Christmas. So this years Christmas break was from December 23rd through January 5th.
3. The instructor of the program in question decided to hold extra training sessions during this time and scheduled on for December 27th. The families were notified as to the time. Unfortunately, the instuctor became ill and wasn't able to hold the practice and was able to only contact a few of the families. [redacted] did not receive a call.
4. It was at this time that [redacted] tried to contact someone in several of our offices, but with our business closed, she was unable to resolve her concerns. It was at this time she sent a complaint to the Revdex.com.
5. On Tuesday December 31st, the instructor once again scheduled an extra training session and [redacted] arrived with gifts and an apology to the instructor.
6. On January 6th, our office manager became aware of the situation and she exchanged emails with [redacted]. During these exchanges our office manager offered [redacted] the opportunity to change locations or to withdraw from the program and we would waive the 30 day notice of termination agreement.
7. On January 7th, the facility director spoke with [redacted] by phone and explained to her that the instructor, who is a college student, would not be able to continue with the class as her second semester classes conflicted with the time of the [redacted] program. We have since assigned another instructor to the program. [redacted] daughter continues to train with us, so I believe that this situation has been resolved.
Sincerely,
President
