Review: The owner of Modern Floor Inc [redacted] installed a laminate floor in my Living Room, Den and Dining Rooms- Immediately about one week after completing the installation I called [redacted] to tell him a 2ft by 5 ft section of the floor was buckling and creating a large and dangerous trip hazard. [redacted] said he was on a big job and would contact me in two weeks to make repairs. After two weeks passed I called [redacted] again and he became very nasty and Irate on the phone- When I told him this was a dangerous condition and needed to be fixed asap he told to " do what you have to do" and he hung up on me. I have since hired an attorney who has sent Modern Floor a letter with detailed pictures showing the area in need of repair. Modern Floor and [redacted] never answer the phone and never return my calls. Please do not use this company they do not warranty or back up their work. Very bad person looking to take advantage of people. Very poor workmanship. I paid nearly $10K mostly cash for this job and this guy probably wont even pay his taxes owed on the income.Desired Settlement: I am only asking that the poor workmanship and defective work in the one area of my home be repaired by Modern Floor- It is currently a dangerous condition and I cannot use that room for fear of someone being hurt. If they do not back up their work I will be forced to have it repaired by a reputable flooring company and sue Modern Floor for damages.
