Richard Wells & Son Paving

Review: richard was hired to excavate and black top the driveway and lane.He was to excavate down 9" for 6" of stone base and 3" of asphalt some places he went way to deep and not deep enough in others. The stone was to be rolled for compaction and was not rolled and I had to add approx. 35 tons of stone on my own to bring it up close to grade. The total contract price is for $18,500. I paid $6,ooo. up front and $6,000. more when the stone was down and ready for asphalt. After I made the second payment of $6,000. he has not been seen or herd from,June 17th is when the second payment was made. I have tried several times to contact Richard but have had no sucess.Desired Settlement: finish the job or refund $8,000.
