On 8/02/I was seen in RI Foot Care office for follow up visit for L ankle pain and aspiration of cyst on lateral L anklePrior to visit I was attended by receptionist and my medical documentation include referral from my primary physician was checked and found in orderIn addition, I paid copayment of $ as per *** *** *** requirementsHowever, six months later I got bill from RI Foot Care for $ with note that I am responsible for payments due to lack of referral at the time of visitI have contacted both *** and RI foot Care billing department, however nobody could come up with clear explanation why this happened, I was put in the middle of dispute and was instructed with billing clerk at medical office that this is solely my problemNo mitigation, nor action from office manager was ever offer to me
