The business is called REVERSING PA MORTGAGE , LLC. but I was working with Michael . It wasn't like I was working with a business . Michael became family . He was available all hours of the day . He returned my phone calls immediately . He explained the process clearly , slowly and answered ALL my question . He worked on my reverse mortgage every minute until he was finished . The process took less than 30 days .
Listen , this guy is a mensch . He is as honest as the day is long . I like Michael.... ALOT !
He is one hard working guy . There are very few good people left in this world , HE IS ONE OF THEM ! During this pandemic other businesses slowed down . Not Michael he worked his butt off .

I was skittish about using a reverse mortgage.

It all happened almost a year ago. Now I no longer have to pay my big mortgage payments, I had money in the beginning to pay bills. And at the end of November I will have access to another lump sum which I can choose to take a bit at a time or at once.
The person who takes the mortgage can choose whether to take all payments as a lump sum or monthly.
There are two other wonderful things.
When I die, my children can sell my house and if I have followed the rules and the house goes up in price, they will still have a big bit of equity. They will be able to have that money for themselves as long as I have kept up bill paying and the condition of the house. My children have the comfort of knowing their mother didn't have to be a burden to them and that I was okay financially. And they will come out with some money in the end.
And if I for some reason cannot keep the house up, there is insurance I paid for that will protect them so that they will never have a financial burden from the house when I die.
