I highly recommend Nick K*** of Reveal Home Inspections Nick recently inspected a new home purchase for me in ***, NY My first experience with a different inspector years ago was terrible -- the inspector was unfriendly and clearly just went through the motions This is not Nick First of all, Nick spent hours on the inspection That is not a typo--SEVEN HOURS He is extraordinarily thorough and clearly has a background in construction/home building that is deeper than just home inspections Nick has a passion for what he does He wants to know how things work and he meticulously tests them He then explains what he finds in great detail to his client He uses the latest technologies and isn't afraid to give his opinion He is loyal to his client and wants what is best for him/her as he understands that the home he is inspecting will house a family He was sensitive to the needs of small children and how to protect them, for example by pointing out a gap in a deck gate that a small child could fall through that I probably never would have noticed Nick issued his inspection report in the exact time-frame that he promised and was easy to contact regarding questions Additionally, he spent time with the seller of the home who had questions about issues Nick pointed out as the seller attempted to repair these issues Nick was happy to do this I'm doubtful you can find many other service providers who would do this after they receive payment, especially when repeat business is rare (i.eI don't expect to buy another home any time soon) I found Nick K*** by chance and have no personal relationship with him But I think it is important to give credit where it is due Any potential home-buyer would be remiss to look any further than Reveal Home Inspections Very impressive
