My granddaughter, whom I raised, was admitted .They diagnosed her with acute addiction ,ptsd, and bipolar. I was allowed access to her information . I spoke to *** her head therapist 3 times . *** encouraged her to stay the 30 days provided. *** was a great help. Many times I called for information. I couldn't get anyone to talk to me .I called to talk to a supervisor ,no return call. At 21 days I got a call saying she was being released tomorrow. She didn't stay for the 12 step program. The therapist there, ***, insisted my grand daughter did everything they asked encouraging her to leave . I said it wasn't enough time. *** insisted she was ok. They had a chance to continue to encourage her to finish .Her exit coordinator barely would give me any info. I called him 3 times no return. She was back on drugs within 2 days. One visit with their Psychiatrist but their diagnosis was wrong. She has a therapist now but only one day a week with a correct diagnosis. It's very scary to drop some one off at a facility and drive away. *** messaged me with a family pdf a week later on how to talk to a person out of rehab. There never was family involvement on video chat during her time there. My grand daughter is 20 years old . She struggles the last 3 month, Our life is a nightmare . She has BPD .We'll never convince her to go to inpatient . So as far as a Duel treatment center..... choose somewhere else where they have more encouragement, more involvement in mental health and extended options. I wish we did.
Hi ***
I am so sorry to hear that your granddaughter has relapsed. Substance use and mental health conditions are extremely complex and relapse is a big part of recovery (although we wish it wasn't) I am going to have our Clinical Supervisor get in touch with you to further discuss your granddaughter's experience and also see if we can provide some resources to help see her through this. I will also be talking to our Clinical Supervisor to discuss the communication lapse. Keep in mind, due to HIPAA if we don't have valid consents we are not allowed by law to provide any information even a simple "he/she is not in treatment" to any individual. I know this is difficult for loved ones who are concern Don't be deterred. Relapse is a big part of recovery and is quite normal, so we can't lose hope, but we can help you find her the support and care she needs. You can email me directly at ***@retreatmail.com so I can further assist.
Fraud- Sheila the coordinator arranged sponsorship/scholarship for the 14 additional days they needed to arrange discharge. Now trying to bill for this
Erin Coulter was admitted to a 30 day treatment program which I payed for in full and have the receipt. They kept her their for 14 additional days because the patient care coordinators did not arrange discharge in a timely manner. Sheila who is the supervisor of the patient care coordinators arranged sponsorship/scholarship for those 14 days. The billing department is now calling and harassing me for this money. I explained to Tony Anthony in the billing department about the arrangement made by Sheila and to speak to her or Alexa or Caitlin and he laughed and continued to press me for money. I repeatedly asked him to contact this department to verify this information and instead of doing this he just emailed me the bill. This is fraud. You dont sponsor payment for a patient and then turn around and ask family for the money. Someone needs to investigate what is going on in this facility and where all this extra money they are trying to obtain in a fraudulent manner is going.
Dont charge me for the 14 sponsored days.
is absolutely correct. There was an unfortunate communication between our staff members which has since been rectified and the scholarship days will be applied. We appreciate your patience and apologize for this confusion on our end. With the COVID19 pandemic we have had to safely react/transition and move around our staff to accommodate our patients while keeping everyone safe. While we have successfully been able to continue treating patients during COVID19, there have been instances of confusion between departments. Our deepest apologies as we continue to navigate this situation.

I will need to recieve a statement showing that I paid the $30000 and that the balance is ZERO and not $14000. They have my email. This is where Tony Anthony sent me the bill for this. When I recieve the corrected statement I can reconsider resolution at this time.
Hi ***,
I believe this issue has been resolved. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do! Thank you!

Ephrata Pennsylvania location handled my family members care unprofessionally. The admissions department promises family member involvement and participation with patient consent. Even when patient gives consent no family meetings or counseling is actually provided. They do not respond to phone calls or emails. When they arrange discharge planning they wait to the last minute and when they cant find correct placement they lie to the patient to get them out the door and then cut off all communication when they patient realizes they have been lied to about the circumstances of their discharge. Unprofessional, uncaring and manipulative staff.
Hi ***,
I apologize your experience with our team in PA was not up to expectations. We believe in the importance of family engagement during treatment, and hold our staff to that strong belief. I'd like to learn more about your stay if you'd be willing to go into detail. The first thing I'm going to do is look into your case, speak to our Clinical Supervisor, ED and PCC Department. I want to find out exactly what transpired and what we could have done to better support you and your family. Please email me at: ***@retreatmail.com
I truly appreciate your insight, family engagement is extremely important to us and I would like to find out where the disconnect was.
Thank you -
Retreat at Palm Beach practices what they preach - client/patient centric care. The clarity of communications staff member ***'s words were backed-up / followed-up with action to help my 32-y/o pregnant daughter get the critical medical and clinical "addiction" care needed for mother and child.
My parental concerns for daughter's health with child were integral to Retreat at PB's intervention, detox, and subsequent care planning.
Thank God, I am forever grateful. 5-Stars for Marissa and the Retreat @ PB care team.
Thank you ***, your words make this work, difficult as it may, be worth it.
Another insurance milking farm! If you want treatment, for yourself spouse or loved one. This is not the place to go. It's more like one stop shopping. I have never encountered a place with such mixed signals. Staff is confused and does not know the right arm from the left. So unprofessional. Looks like a jail feels like a jail and every patient is treated the same regardless of DOC. Over billing, mistreatment. Malpractice and abuse. If you are in the business do not refer anyone here. They tell you *** reads every complaint but he won't get on the phone . Another sad entry to Palm Beach that's money motivates
Retreat Premier Addiction Treatment Centers (Retreat) disputes and denies any allegations or statements that it operates its business in any manner that is not in compliance with the law, and finds the complainant's review to contain factually incorrect, maliciously false and defamatory statements. Retreat prides itself on corporate responsibility and compliance with legal requirements in its operations. This includes all levels of operations, from patient care, to billing, to administration, and to other business functions. This also includes ensuring all patients are treated within or beyond the standard of care. Retreat's detoxification protocols are in accordance with the standard of care, Retreat's staff-to-patient ratios meet or exceed the legal requirements of oversight agencies, and Retreat's billing practices are legally-compliant. In addition, Retreat's facilities are beautifully designed, with architectural and artistic details to promote healing, while at the same time provide the safety of a locked gate entrance from the street, requiring visitors to announce themselves prior to admission onto Retreat property.
Dispute and deny us all they do. Their detox are certainly not within standards of care. They take people who dont even need detox. They are completely unprofessional and looking to milk insurance. You never get the same answer. When you think you find someone who cares, that's just their communications person trying to pretend she's actually going to look into it for ***. Even after admitting to confusion between staff and speaking to clients work they refused to retract their statement instead saying what was said could of been interpreted in many ways. No personal care. It can be interpreted and even those in the buisness were confused. For someone who is not or doesn't understand addiction, it can sound very scary. They will keep getting reported to detoxes and recaps along with LMHCP's and CAPS DONT SEND ANYONE YOU LOVE THERE. Their response which was drafted very carefully and without any acknowledgment of the letter I received or the the people I spoke to. They told me *** the owner himself can be seen on Friday nights picking up trash and how much he cares. But *** is an orthodox Jewish man and as I am but female is observing Sabbath. It's jus corporate noncence hoping the state attorneys office doesn't finally get on all the reports. Hopefully they already are. The place looks like a jail. In lockdown. A retreat is a joke. That's simply to attract people. Sounds nice. Addiction is a serious deadly disease. Not a retreat. Your lucky if you see a counselor within 4 days and when you do. Hope it's not *** in Palm Beach. She hands you a book and hopes you don't understand insurance.
Instead of denying, they should have admitted to the mistreatment of the patient and apologized. Instead to completely ignore or deny is even worse. How will they ever grow or learn. They will respond again with the usual response that they are in compliance. They don't realize how many people feel they were mistreated and even abused. Take the gates down and actually allow the family go through your"3 day class' never happens and when it does. What a joke. *** should get involved personally since this is such a personal issue for him. Still waiting. When you care, then you get involved and make sure every client was taken care of and if they weren't ask for suggestions and make the person feel like they have been heard. You'll see the next response unless someone finally gets them to understand it only takes one person to change things. One who genuinely care. One who won't stop. One who is going no where. Best yet. 6 nights in detox when none was needed they billed the insurance 12,500 dollars. What a con. Fraud. How do they even explain that cost. Shameful
