It is prudent business decision of Retail Pro, wording their contract so they can not be held in any way accountable for software problems and the outright theft and fraud purported upon us by one of their preferred business partners, Retail Information Systems (RIS) RIS has canceled our contract and elected to keep over $1,that was prepaid time for training we never received I feel this is theft
Completely separate of this, RIS willfully canceled payment on a refund check due to us, simply to be spiteful I believe this to be a type of fraud? In less than a year RIS has supplied us with two defective computers and a defective printer RIS has simply refused to take any responsibility and hides behind a cleverly worded contract that allows it similar too Retail Pro
Retail Pro's software has been generating an error code now for several months The answer from their partners' tech support, version solves this Version upgrade would cost us over $8,and paying this is the answer for an error code generated by Retail Pro itself?
After spending another $1,in Arbitration fees, it came as little surprise to really learn our contract was written in favor of RIS unloading defective merchandise and having NO responsibility for following instructions of its' customer about the install location (Server) for the Retail Program itself We have since been transferred to another Retail Pro partner but again, not without paying nothing short of another shake down fee and or extortion payment for what is called Software Assurance
I can assure you, the person reading this, we made a big mistake in choosing Retail Pro and their perfected partner in Retail Information Systems A mistake not just in the thousands but tens of thousands of dollars lost to; attorneys, arbitration and time Both Retail Pro and RIS have left us no other option but only to use this very forum to help inform others of simply our experience

Retail Pro's software has been generating an error code now for several months. The answer from their partners' tech support, version 9 solves this. Version 9 upgrade would cost us over $8,000.00 and paying this is the answer for an error code generated by Retail Pro itself?
