I went to tour the " [redacted] " [redacted] today I was told that I would receive nights of camping to use at their resorts and a gift certificate to [redacted] After we told them we weren't able to buy the package they offered, we were given a card for nights camping (it doesn't actually specify that it can be used at [redacted] ***,Lake George and [redacted] resorts as I was told over the phone)but we were told they ran out of restaurant gift cards Keep in mind that this was an appointment made earlier in the week- they knew how many gift cards they would need They instead offered us some travel " voucher" for the [redacted] that I need to spend to activate and there is no guarantee that I can stay at my first choice location Be warned!! They are scam artists!! Scam artists!!
The resort of Distinction does not own or operate any parks It is a reciprocal system that allows members from a home park to travel thru member-only parks All the complaints here are with a park not about Resorts of Distinction OUr home park is great and we had no trouble using the system We have saved $1000 in travel benefits with the programs
We have used ROD several times in last 10-yrs We highly recommend them Always clean, courteous and convenient One might have a problem [we haven't] with an individual park, But we love ROD!
I am in receipt of your letter dated October 25, 2017 regarding case number [redacted]. However, Ms. [redacted] complaint should not be against Resorts of Distinction. Instead, the complaint should be with the park in which she purchased her membership. Resorts of Distinction is a network of...
affiliated parks but each one is individually owned and has their set of rules, policies, and agreements. The request for any fees refunded should also be made to her home park. It is unfortunate but Resorts of Distinction does have a park to drop affiliation from time to time primarily because it was sold and the new owner doesn't have the desire for a membership park. Because this happens occasionally, Resorts of Distinction does not list the number of affiliated parks on any membership applications and we suggest that members view our website for the most up-to-date information. Currently, Resorts of Distinction has 60 parks in its network. The clause quoted in Ms. [redacted]'s complaint came from the home park agreement not the Resorts of Distinction application. In addition, Resorts of Distinction membership is renewable on an annual basis. Ms. [redacted] has enjoyed the benefits by visiting some of our affiliated parks but does have the option to not renew when the membership expires on 5/31/18. I hope the matter between Ms. [redacted] and her home park can be resolved. I went to tour the "[redacted] today. I was told that I would receive 10 nights of camping to use at their 3 resorts and a 50.00 gift certificate to [redacted]. After we told them we weren't able to buy the package they offered, we were given a card for 10 nights camping (it doesn't actually specify that it can be used at [redacted],Lake George and [redacted] resorts as I was told over the phone)but we were told they ran out of restaurant gift cards. Keep in mind that this was an appointment made earlier in the week- they knew how many gift cards they would need. They instead offered us some travel " voucher" for the [redacted] that I need to spend 75.00 to activate and there is no guarantee that I can stay at my first choice location. Be warned!! They are scam artists!! Scam artists!!
They lied when they told us there were resorts all along I95, which is how we travel to Florida each year. Not 1 took this plan I paid for with my credit card. I want my money back. This is such a scam. Only 1 resort in Massachusetts, they told us they would be opening more in the next few years, another lie! I filed a complaint with the Revdex.com, regarding this company.
We have used ROD several times in last 10-15 yrs. We highly recommend them. Always clean, courteous and convenient. One might have a problem [we haven't] with an individual park, But we love ROD!
