Told by salesman [redacted] when took policy out that my crown replacement later that year would defiantly be covered. My claim was denied. Sales Rep [redacted] called and came to my home to have me purchase a Dental and Vision policy on 7/8/2014. I have [redacted] home and auto insurance and Reserve National is a division of [redacted].I told him I had a cavity under a crown and the crown has to be replaced in order to fix the cavity. I scheduled that in November. He told me that because I am over the age of 65 my policy takes effect that day and that my cavity and crown replacement would be covered. I paid him $335.75 for the first 6 months coverage. That night I read the policy he left and saw where it states under dental benefits that replacement of existing crowns etc will not be covered until policy has been in effect for 12 months. I called him to cancel and not take out insurance but he told me that on the back page Item number 9 that it clearly states if you are age 65 or older that pre-existing conditions are covered and that overrides that previous statement. He said I would be covered for my cavity and crown replacement in November.My complaint is that Reserve National is selling this policy to people over 65 years old and telling them that pre-existing conditions are fully covered as stated on back, however, when claim is filed they refuse to pay due to pre-existing statement on front of policy. Someone is telling us seniors a lie to sign up for policy.Desired SettlementI want a refund of $335.75 that I paid for policy or my crown coverage paid for as I was told by the Reserve National salesman.
