Received a phone call from the business.  This was the second car this consumer has purchased from him.  She understood the terms of the agreement.  All cars are financed at $200 per month, the term of the lease/purchase is adjusted depending on the total value of the vehicle....

RES Autos leases cars, they do not sell them. The business had no marketplace interaction with the complainant. The car was leased to Bertha B[redacted], the complainant's mother. It is his...

understanding the complainant lent her mother the money for the initial lease payment ($600). After she had trouble with the car, business told B. B[redacted] that they would either give her a partial refund, or give her the car back if she still wanted it. B. B[redacted] stated she no longer wanted the car. RES Autos has taken back the car, and mailed a check to Bertha B[redacted] on 12-31-15 for $400.
The car was thoroughly checked out and there are no problems with it, except that it ran out of gas. It has now been leased to someone else. He also noted that the consumer never produced proof of insurance for the car.
