There is not  a balance on this customers account.  The $31.99 was credited off the account.  I called customer to address, no answer. I did leave a voicemail advising customer that the account has no balance.

Regards,

Review: Drivers keep missing my pick up days. When I call the company I am told I have to wait 24 hours for pick up. I have been waiting since Saturday September 6th 2014 for a pick up. The company receives payment with out any problems but I can not get the service I pay for. Now I have two containers of recycables

materials and no where to put any more. I see the trucks drive by in front of my house but do not stop to pick up. I see two trucks with different drivers on the same day. one is for trash the other for recycleables.Desired Settlement: For the company to provide services I pay for or return balance so I can hire a different company that cares about their customers and their reputation as company.

Review: I received a bill in October which reflected an increase for period starting 11/1/13. I signed up for a new trash service at a lower rate then called allied waste and told customer service that I wanted to cancel effective at the end of the current term which was 10/31013. The woman said "Ok, I'll take care of that". I assumed all was done and handled. After October, allied waste cans were not put out and no trash pickups were made by allied waste.

In November I got another bill for service for Allied Waste. I called, the office was closed. I left a message in the customer service mailbox advising that my service was cancelled in October and asked them to cancel the bull

In December I got another bill. This time it also also included a late fee of $35 saying my service is being put on hold until I pay the bill. I called them to complain. Told the woman this is ridiculous because I had already called on 2 previous occasions about cancellation. I told her I was not paying the bill because I don't have their service.

She said she had no notes that I ever called. I told her that is not my problem. She said she would forward the bill to a manager to see what can be done and hey would let me know. I told her "Do not contact me again, I don't care what the manager says, I cancelled the service and will not pay you a dime"

Today I got another notice says "FINAL DEMAND" Pay now or we will forward to a collection agency and report to your credit bureau. I called again, today, and left another message for customer service to get this resolved immediately.Desired Settlement: I want the bill cancelled and zero'd out. No service was provided during the term of this billing.

Review: I have to call several times a year to get trash and recyclables removed. the cost of this service goes up over 10% every year but they clearly are not doing their job that I have to call repeatedly to have trash and/or recyclables removed.Desired Settlement: get the trash picked up weekly as is supposed to happen and refund me for at least 6 weeks for the minimum number of times that I have to have call this year.

Review: We first came into contact with Allied Waste when they were doing door to door sales to drum up business. We were in the process of moving and their price for paying upfront for a year seemed like a really good deal, $55/quarter. Unfortunately, it was too good to be true. Every week for the past month we had to call. The first week they gave some story about having to get a different truck to access our street so our trash was not collected. The following week when it should have been collected on Tuesday it wasn't picked up. We called again, at which point they said our pick up trash date was for Wednesday but that Recycling was for Tuesday...so we left the trash out and they did not pick it up on Wednesday either, so we called back. They said there was an issue with the system and our date really was Tuesday for both and they would pick up. So again we had to wait a whole other week. They did not show up on Tuesday the following week. We called to complain and threatened to cancel if they weren't there by the end of the day to pick up trash, at which point they finally did. Having high hopes that we finally got everything figured out, was a wash. This week (yes it's Tuesday) when they were supposed to pick up the trash they did not (surprised? I wasn't), so we cancelled our service today, and of course they won't be coming until NEXT WEEK (on Tuesday) to pick up our trash...we'll see if that actually happens. We have had overflowing trash because of the move and dragging the cans back and forth because these incompetent people can't get their schedules straight was a waste of money and time. I do hope this review saves someone the trouble of having to deal with Allied Waste. When you hire a service company it's not your job to pay them AND babysit them to do their job correctly. We are supposed to get a full refund, but I don't foresee that going smoothly either because of their "stellar" track record. I have never once had to write a bad complaint about a company. I'm very understanding about miscommunication issues, but this was ridiculous!

TL;DR - Allied Waste picked up our trash twice in five weeks even after hounding them.Desired Settlement: I want the trash cans to be collected on the day they specified, to be fully compensated with the refund, and to have this complaint published for other consumer knowledge.

Review: I signed a three years contract with Republic Waste in July of 2013 for $83.74 per month. Eight months later my bill was raised to $100.36, sighting "Fuel and Environmentsl Recovery Fee". There is no documentation regarding these fees, and I cannot cancel unless I pay 6 months worth of fees. In small print, I find that I am required to send a registered letter return receipt within 60 days of the expiration of the contract in order to not have it automatically renew. This basically ties most people to a company that raises rates exorbitantly at their will for an indefinite amount of time unless you have extreme vigilance or $600. to break the contract.Desired Settlement: Formost I would like out of the contract with no penalty. If this is not an option, I would like my rate increase limited to last years's consumer price index (1.1%) plus 4%, which is what my other business trash company is limited to in yearly rate increases. Should Republic refuse this option, I want all documentation to prove that their "Fuel and Environmental" costs have risen over 20% in 8 months, and I would also like the information regarding what is needed to end the contract at the ed

Response:

Our inside sales person spoke with [redacted] this morning and negotiated the new pricing and [redacted] will be remaining a customer of Republic Services. In our discussions [redacted] voiced concerns on the manner which her account was handled by the call center in North Carolina. She is happy with the service.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Review: I recently moved into a new house in Newark Delaware. Upon purchasing the house, the previous owner, [redacted], informed me of her waste management services. She explained that she used Republic Services (Allied Waste) and that her services were paid for up until 03/31/2014. I made a telephone call to Republic Services a few days after move in (during the week of 02/17/2014) and talked to representative #1. This representative took my payment info and told me that I would be charged $65.50 around the date that I was to resume services in my name (04/01/2014). This was fine and I agreed. Later that same day, I called back with other questions. Representative #2 answered my questions including one I had about bulk removal. There was a selection of bulk trash outside of the home that was to be removed. It was left there by previous owner [redacted] so my question was how to go about having this removed. Rep #2 stated that she had actually talked to [redacted] earlier in the day, but not about the bulk removal. she made the promise to me that she will call [redacted] and try to find a resolution and she would call me back that day. She did not call me back, so the following day I called in to Republic Services and got Rep#2 again. she stated that she did not forget about me and she was was going to call that morning. She said that she spoke to [redacted] who had made the decision to STOP her residential services NOW (rather than end of march) and in place, would take care of bulk removal. So I was informed that the $65.50 would be charged that week and my services would start in my name, and that [redacted] was taking care of the bulk trash. 1.5 weeks later, nothing had been removed so I called in again, and got Rep #3 (Debbie..I remember her because she was the only one that seemed willing to help). She told me that she would reach out to dispatch, figure out what is going on and get back to me. She followed through with her promise as she later called me back and left a message. She let me know on that message (that I have saved) that they could not remove the trash that day as some was stuck in snow BUT they would be out tomorrow to remove the bulk. The following day, I called in after not seeing or hearing from anyone, and again got Rep #2. she was very nice, but sarcastic. I could tell that she was getting annoyed at me calling, just as I was getting annoyed by having to call in. she took down my info and said that she would have her supervisor call me. Fastfoward a few hours and I have yet to hear anything so I called and AGAIN got rep #2. I told her about a truck that was at my house but sat there for 10 minutes before leaving and not removing ANYTHING. She this time, after asking a few times, got me [redacted] her supervisor who took the call. from the start [redacted] was very sarcastic stating that NO ONE had been out and that I was incorrect about the truck just sitting there. she promised that they WOULD be out that day (yesterday 02/25/2014) and remove all of the clutter. I asked if she was sure it would be removed and she said yes, all of it. Later that day, a truck finally came but only removed SOME of the junk (again, this is from the previous owner who I was told paid to have it removed) . I put a complaint in on their website and was quickly called by a male representative. He stated that he looked into the notes, and while he is aware that it is not my junk nor responsibility, stated that it was not his either. He proceeded to tell me that I would have to pay for at least HALF of the removal! He quoted me and told me that it would be $300 with labor and fuel charges and I would have to pay $150 of this! I found this rediculous as I was told days before, that previous owner [redacted] was paying for the removal. he told me that she never paid, and that they were "eating the costs" and could not do so anymore so I had to pay. So I was lied to on multiple occasions. About being called back, about them removing it all, and about it being paid for. So now, they were trying to stick me with a bill that I was under the impression was taken care of. I offered to pay $50 and then bumped it to $80 but not a dime more! I felt lied too and the gentleman would not let me speak. he kept cutting me off. he eventually let me talk and then after 25 minutes of back and forth arguing, he said that he would have someone else call me but it would not be today (all the while the junk is still outside and neighbors are asking questions) . I told him that I do not trust him and I feel like I will not get a call back. He got sarcastic and said "Its been SUCH a pleasure speaking with you. really. A true pleasure" so I got sarcastic back stating that the pleasure was all mine and hung up. He called me back minutes later saying that he was canceling my services. The $65.50 would be refunded and I would have to find a different waste company. This company is far from professional as only ONE representative was kind enough to follow through with promised.Desired Settlement: I would love for the final amount of trash be removed. I was told it was paid for by the previous owner. this information was given to me by THEIR employee. So I was under the impression that it was taken care of. now they are saying that it is not. I would like this removed as promised. I will and have already, found a new company to take care of my weekly trash removal.

Review: I put my yard waste out in a bin as directed the night before the regularly scheduled Thursday pick-up and it was not collected, so I called to inquire during business hours Friday. The customer service rep apologized and said it would be picked up the next day, Saturday, so I left the bin out another day, and once again, it was not picked up. I emailed using the on-line customer inquiry form and told them they once again failed to pick up the yard waste, and they emailed back promising to do it on Monday. Monday came and went, and it was STILL NOT PICKED UP. Two neighbors stopped over to complain about the bin being left out front for four days, so I was terribly embarrassed. I emailed and called a third time, only this time it was to cancel my service with them and to ask them to please take their bins away. I left all the bins (two trash, one recycle, and one yard waste) on the curb and they did not pick them up! I called and reminded them to please pick them up, and they still haven't! I am at a loss, and don't know what I will do when my new waste removal company drops off all their bins and I still have Republic's bins because they won't pick them up.Desired Settlement: I would like Republic to come and get their bins as promised, and to apologize for twice breaking their promise to rectify their own mistake by failing to pick up the yard waste on two separate occasions after the initial failure to do so.

Review: Refuse/garbage was to be collected weekly, and hasn't. My first pick up was to be 8/5. After multiple phone calls, a pick up truck came on 8/16. They were to return on 8/19, and did not show. After multiple phone calls, being transferred from one person to the next, a pick up was done on 8/22. The date of pick up has been changed by Supervisor [redacted] to Tuedays. 8/27, Tuesday, was missed. When I called today, 8/28, I was told by [redacted] (sect'y) that my p/u is Monday. She assured me, again, that I would get a call back from the supervisor, and have not as of this writing.

I've spoken to multiple employees and supervisors who continually fail to collect as promised. I've had maggots in my can due to the heat and failure of service. Most phone message are not returned which causes me to call leaving multiple messages.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded, in full, for the one year of service paid. I have contracted another company for this service, and I am no longer needing or wanting Allied Waste. I want them to come and pick up their cans ASAP.

Response:

We received a complaint from the Attorney General and responded to this complaint I did not realize there were 2 complaints filed. The customers cans have been removed and the refund was issued.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I have received a full refund. I am also very sure that if Revdex.com and /or the complaint to the attorney general had not been made I would not have received one penny back. I have never used your service in the past and hope to never need it in the future. Thank you for your help.

Review: We were Allied Waste customer until early August 2013, when another competitor approached us offering better rate. We switched to Allied Waste's competitor, signed a postcard with our address and mailed directly to Allied Waste. We haven't used Allied Waste service since then.

We called Allied Waste on Oct 28th as they sent us another bill covering 11/1/13-1/31/14 and they didn't pick the empty trash/recycling bin. On the phone their associate told us that they never terminated our services because they just ignored all the postcards and returned them back. Their competitor took away a lot of their customers back to August 2013. But we have never received any returned post card from Allied Waste as they suggested.

They refused to refund the full or part of the $64.08 we prepaid covering Aug 2013-Oct 2013.Desired Settlement: Please refund full or partial of the $64.08 we paid and didn't use any of their services.

Response:

Revdex.com,

This letter is in response to a complaint from a former customer that was assigned an ID of [redacted]

This customer had decided to sign up with another trash company. This other trash company used door to door sales to sign up new customers. During their door to door process, they filled out a cancellation card and the new trash company was supposed to mail the cancellation card to the appropriate trash company. They have been using these sales tactics for the last few years.

During that time frame, we had received cancellation letters from some of our customers. However we also received numerous cancellation letters from residents that were not our customers. We are assuming they were either Waste Management or Independent Disposal customers and this new trash company had mailed them to the wrong place. In addition, we have received numerous calls from our customers stating that they had cancelled and we did not receive any notification. We are assuming that this new trash company had either mailed our cancellation cards to the wrong place, or did not mail them in at all. On some instances, we received cancellation cards in the middle of the month effective the first of the month.

As a result of all of this confusion created by this new trash company, we called every customer we received a cancellation card from. In some instances, the customers we called stated that they did not cancel our service.

Therefore, we could not accept a postcard mailed from our competitor as cancellation. We continued to call all the customers whose names were on the cancellation cards. We told them we needed their confirmation in order to cancel service.

In this particular instance, we were notified by the customer to cancel service on October 25, 2013 for the month of July. We advised this customer we can cancel the account as of today. They stated that the other company sent a cancelation letter. We did advise this customer that we did not receive a cancellation or a call from them to remove our containers and we have been paying two route driver to drive past there house this entire time. We did cancel the service as of October 25th and scheduled our containers to be removed on October 31st.

The root cause of this resident’s problem, and many others, is that this new trash company is using some questionable business practices. If we had not received cancellation letters from customers who had not cancelled, this could have all been avoided.

Please let me know if you have any questions regarding my response.

Thank you

Review: Our trash and recycling pick-up day is Friday, however no one came to pick up any of the trash or recycling on August 30th. Labor Day Monday, the business was closed so we were unable to inform anyone that our trash had not been picked up until Tuesday. When my husband called on Tuesday they told him that the trash would be picked up Wednesday. I called Wednesday at noon and the customer service representative informed me that someone would be out Wednesday afternoon, again no one came. My husband then called today, Thursday, and was again told that someone would be out today to get the trash. It is now almost 1 pm and still no one has picked up the trash. We have 2 children and the trash has begun to pile up on our back porch which is in violation of our lease. This happens at least once a month and will probably cancel our services after this incident. I just think that others should be notified of how they provide an unreliable service.Desired Settlement: I pay every 3 months for weekly pick-up and I feel I should be given a credit for the missed pick-up.

The customer did call in on September 3rd and let us know her trash and recycling pickup was not done. The customer service representative di send a ticket for operations to go back for both commodities. On September 5th the customer call back to let us know the trash was serviced but the recycling pickup was still not complete. We escalated this to the operations manager and this was service on September 5th. A credit was issued to this customer but will not show up until there next billing cycle which does not go out until December 15, 2013.
