I have sent proof that the motor did not get hot. So when you say your company says WARRANTY that's [redacted]. The reviews I have read is so true. A small business man can't stand a chance with a expense like this. I know there isn't nothing that I can do about this, but I do have a mouth and I will be using that to my fellow trucker friends. I also want that no good head sent back to me, so I can use it in the scrap bin.......[redacted]
We are standing behind our first response. When a cylinder head comes in and multiple valves are blued the head go to hot. The cracks in this cylinder head are a direct result of user neglect not subpar product quality. Thanks.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
As I have said before my motor has NOT been running hot....so I took the computer to a Cat dealer and had it downloaded and printed off...attached is a copy...as you can see on this copy it has 2 high coolent codes before I purchace the head...and that is due to a faulty sincer wire.
To address the price issue, you will find that the price of $3066.66 for the purchased cylinder head is at fair market value. The head we have advertised on our website at $1650.00 is for a re-buildable core only; thus, this is why it says "Please call" at the top of the page.
If the customer...
and or the installer were lead to believe that the customer was paying for a new head, the installation should have been stopped immediately and questioned before installation. Upon evaluation of the returned cylinder head, we found several cracks in several cylinders. We also found that several valves have been "blued" due to excessive heat. The customer stated that he drove the truck approximately 200 miles with it "pumping water”. We are certain that this is were most of the extensive damaged-occurred.
Whether the head, the customer had installed, was new or rebuilt, the result would have been the same. The head was run excessively hot for an excessively long time. This would fall outside of our
warranty.
We have been in contact with the customer and he stated that he has had this truck for four (4) years and that it has about 200,000 miles and that this is the 4th head that he has put on it. Customer also states that he has had issues with cracked heads in the past. We are returning the head to the customer and the claim is closed. ' ' '
