Review: My mother had a care give named [redacted], a number of weeks ago while [redacted] was transporting my 92 year old mother who can walk with assistants, [redacted] lost control of my mom and she fell to the ground, [redacted] was very sorry for what happened and told my mom that it was her fault at the time of the accident. My mom is diabetic and got a nickel size gash in her knee that became infected. Mom was put on antibiotics. The lady at Rent a daughter told my mom and I that Rent a daughter would pay for any medical related expenses, but a few days later, [redacted] gave her story which was totally different from what happened, obviously to save her job. The owner [redacted] said he would put file the claim with his insurance company, but when I asked him in witting and on the phone to send the report from [redacted] so we could see it, he refused time and time again. I asked his what he had to hide, and he said he had nothing, but that is not how he was behaving, so I said then why don't you send my mom and I a copy of [redacted]'s statement. [redacted] was totally against that idea as if he did not want his insurance company to pay the bills that we acquired which were a few doctors appointments, and an emergency room appointment, medication, bandages, and not to mention the health treat on my 92 year old mothers health since she is diabetic. I refused to accept this kind treatment, so I continued to question him in hopes the truth to be known, and he reacted by canceling my mom's service which left us without any care givers to watch my mom. Our experience with Rent of daughter has turned into a very bad one. You might consider using a different agency instead of Rent a daughter if you care about your aging loved ones like care about my mom!!!Desired Settlement: I am not sure what can be done about resolving this issue? But all I know they treated my mom and I very badly!

Response:
Rent-A-Daughter, LLC is aware of the complaint filed and is
taking steps in good faith to assure that this matter is fully investigated. As a matter of policy, we referred the incident
to our insurance company after our initial communication with the client and
our caregiver revealed two very different accounts of what occurred. We are
committed to finding a just solution based on the report from the third party
investigation.
In addition, since receiving the initial complaint, the
client and her son have expressed a lack of trust in our organization. Therefore, we felt it necessary to stop
servicing the client so as not to put our caregivers into a situation that had
become adversarial.
Respectfully submitted,
[redacted] and [redacted], owners
