Review: I had a gift certificate that said "manicure & pedicure $30.00" I went in with my daughter. She got a regular manicure (nothing additional) and I got the regular, basic pedicure (nothing special). When I went to pay, the [redacted] (the only male in the place) told me that I owed $8.00. I asked why. He said that the nail polish color that we picked was an extra $5.00. First of all that doesn't even make sense because he charged me $8.00 not $5.00 and when I asked him how were we to know that the colors we picked were extra money, he said because they are in a different area. I said, "there is no sign indicating that these colors are an extra fee and had I known, I would have picked a regular priced color". He said "my customers know that they are more money". (insinuating that I am not a regular customer, which is bad). I said "well I didn't know that". Anyway, he would not change his mind and my daughter was getting embarrassed, so I paid the extra $8.00 and left. The point is, why did my gift certificate not cover what it was supposed to and why is there no signage indicating an additional fee for certain services?Desired Settlement: I will never return to this establishment. I think the owner needs to know that he cannot take advantage of consumers. I would love the be refunded my money and have the owners know that they cannot operate like they do. I would like to be refunded the amount of the original gift certificate ($30.00) plus the additional fee I was charged ($8.00) for a total of $38.00
